Music on MacOS: using the ⌥ Option key as quicker way to click & choose several ‘up next tracks’

👋🏻 👋🏻

For as long as I can remember in iTunes on Macs, I used the ⌥ Option key as a short-cut to click & choose ‘up next tracks’

Press & hold the option key, then click click click in the first column, where the blank space becomes the symbol below (the first column being numbers in playlists, or just blank in the whole library list view)

I recently moved from iTunes to ‘Music.’ The very same symbol appears in the column when the option key is pressed, but does nothing.

So instead of quickly single clicking once on a selection of songs whilw holding ⌥ Option, every song has to be either:

• click on 3 dots, move up to down to click “up next” on each individual track. repeat.

• control click, ‘’ ‘’ ‘’ ‘’

• double finger click, ‘’ ‘’ ‘’ ‘’

It’s tedious, moreover I’m wondering why the symbol still appears there, but now does nothing? 😕
