I don't think apple should decide if an app shouldn't make it to the store. However, I've noticed on a few reviews that some unknowledgable people blame apple for putting out the crap apps when it's not like apple developed them.
I have a few simple apps on my iPhone such as the whip application. I'd quite like an electric shaver app that makes shaver sounds using the accelarometre while you pretend to shave.
I think they need to fix the review system. Also they need to fix the new to the store section. It still has aim in it?

They are already too restrictive in what they allow, no need for them to start clamping down on creativity more.

No one is forcing you to buy or download apps you don't like.

I agree they could use some better organization and search abilities, but saying no one should be able to get an app because YOU don't like it is ridiculous.

I think that upping the category granularity would help this a lot.

If there was a category called, "Things an imbecile needs in a restaurant"

I would know not to go there because I don't need a check splitter or tip calculator. That way I could easier browse and/or see applications that might appeal to me.

There are too few categories and in some cases the broad categories are being mis-used.
