One thing you have to watch out for with Apple News is the the echo chamber effect. The more you like/read news stories, the more you get of the same. Take that to an extreme and you get a one-sided view of many things.

Definitely noticed this as time goes on. So much so that even major news events get missed because it is trying to give you what you want.

Does anyone else think News has become way more clickbait-y recently? I swear it seemed higher quality when it first started (mostly talking about the email digests I get sent). May just be the natural way of things, but still rather sad.

Use a good RSS reader like "News Explorer" and you won't have to see ugly ads all over the place, not to mention you control what you want to see.

Apple news is junk.
Thanks for the suggestion. The ones I knew were Reeder 5 (the well known app from Silvio Rizzi) and Lire, which is double the price and I’m not sure it is worth it (I bought the first version, not this one).

So, you would say this News Explorer is worth giving a chance?

Yes, I like it. I also use Inoreader which does a good job as well.
