I'm a huge fan of the midnight blue leather loop band. I managed to find one in NYC about 2 weeks ago(only comes in 42mm SS), and since then, don't seem to be on sale anywhere or even listing possible ship dates.

Very happy with it, the leather loop is my favortite band available right now- perfect blend of not too sporty/too fancy which is what I wanted for most days unless I need to use a sports band.

I would say as far as comfortability goes, the sport band and leather loop are by far the most comfortable.

I went to the Regent Street Apple Store in London and they didn't even have them listed in their inventory anymore.

To each their own on the leather loop. I own one and it doesn't even remotely come loose on me. Your wrist size will vary how and when it fits properly or not. And of all the bands I own, which I own plenty, the leather loop is by far the most comfortable I own. That quilted leather and the magnets hold so well.

It's the one band that I would easily pay $150 for again if necessary.

I just received as a birthday gift from my wife the stainless AW with the midnight blue leather loop. It had always been my favorite look and I absolutely love the band. My magnet is very strong; there is no issue whatsoever with the band coming loose. I really hope Apple keeps these around, as I'd like to get others as finances permit.

On a side note, my wife purchased the large loop but a medium would have fit better. The large band fits, but it wraps all the way around to the watch body. I'm not sure whether Apple will let me swap the band out for a medium without doing an exchange of the entire watch, but I hope so. If not, I definitely can live with the large because I like the band that much.

Nothing beats the Link Bracelet or the Milanese Loop, I love them both and wouldn't be without them. Or at least that's what I said until a week or so ago, when I decided I'd buy a new MacBook Pro.

It occurred to me that before it arrives on Friday I should maybe re-think my Watch strap situation as I've heard the horror stories of the metal straps scratching the MacBook to hell and I'm not wanting that while it's still new, or ever for that matter ;)

So, the obvious choice? To me, the Leather Loop. I'd never really been sold on them before but figured, what the hell I'll give it a go. So I managed to find a Black one from an authorised reseller, didn't want a fake. Oh my god, what I've been missing out on. Having worn my new Loop for the past week(ish) I cannot believe how good it is.

Very, very comfortable, I almost forget it's there most of the time unlike my Link Bracelet. Unbelievably strong magnets, significantly better than my Milanese loop which I have to adjust several times a day. I've got less than dainty wrists and this thing just fits like an old glove. Worth every single penny as far as I'm concerned and it's my new go-to strap, the others will be worn a lot less frequently.

So much so that I'm going to buy up a few more colours while they're still available in a few shops, as Apple only have two colours just now (as I'm sure you'll know.) I'm hoping Apple (re)introduce some more colours for the Leather Loop this year.

Damn, I've found yet another bloody expensive obsession :D

Thanks to this thread I've just purchased one from ceX in the UK - 'grade A' £55. :)

I have a Jetech one form Amazon, and though it is nice, I'm sure the Apple one will be better :)

I also own a Midnight Blue Leather Loop but I only really wear it now, if I am going out for the evening - as a "smart" looking band!

I actually found, that in normal day to day use, it wasn't that great on my wrist all day. I would have to adjust it all the time (as wrists swell and contract in warm and cold weather) but the main issue, was the magnets themselves.

Because within the individual small leather sections of the band the magnets have slight movement, when the band is around your wrist and your hand is naturally moving all the time (like on a keyboard for instance), quite often the combined movements of all the magnets inside the leather portions, would be mistaken for a notification of the watch (the tiny 'clicky' feeling of the magnets movements is a VERY similar feeling as the vibration of a notification). I found myself not being able to distinguish between the two and had to rely on the sound of the notification from the watch, which would alert me to the fact that it was indeed 100% a notification and not a 'false notification' by the magnets.

If anyone has a heads up on where someone in the US can score an official black one for a 42mm, it would be much appreciated. I am finding that black bands are about all that matches the Space Black SS model. I really love the style of the leather loop, and was disappointed to see the black ones no longer being sold. I've ordered a knockoff on Amazon but don't have high hopes.

I would check ebay, that is the best place I have found. one of those should come up either great quality used 65-80 or new 99-120$.

Humm, and all this time I was under the impression that Black was a neutral color that went with all other colors.

I guess it is, but I personally don't like the looks of the silver band inserts on a black watch, and the number of watches with black band connectors is pretty limited.

bestbuy.com had them in medium size last time I checked.

Yes, this is true. I like Clockwork Synergy which allows you to order their bands with the different color lugs and buckle.

Here is my blue leather loop (size medium) series 2 SS. Really love it, considered buying the SBSS as well and getting the black leather loop since I knew either way I wanted a leather loop- but as others have mentioned, the steel inserts in the leather loop just look better with the SS face.

The Black Apple Leather Loop is all leather and doesn't have inserts.

The Black Stainless Steel and Apple Black Leather Loop looks better to me.

It does have inserts, all the leather loops do- people are talking about where the long part of the band slides through, it's a stainless/silver color. If they were black, it'd look a lot cleaner.

OK maybe I'm not understanding, are you referring to the part that is not seen once you slide the band into the slot?...if it's not seen what does it matter?

Oooooh....you're referring to this part...

On the bottom of the wrist. That is not a problem for me. That small silver part is not a concern at all.

I have a bright blue leather loop that I bought a few weeks after receiving my Gen 1 back in the day. As I have a bunch of bands I cycle, it's pretty much still new. Must admit I'm glad I have it as opposed to the midnight blue. Would like a storm grey one but I have a storm grey classic buckle, along with a black and marine blue one (all genuine, new, and from eBay at a very good price!)

Edit: Tried a few fake loops from eBay but none of them matched up to the quality of the Apple one.

I've just bought 2x Apple Nike bands from CEX. Awaiting delivery but they had better be good. 42mm A grade silver/white and black/grey, and around £40 each.

So went to an apple store today and no more leather loops in store. Was told online only. I thought the sales were better than that but i guess not....... wish i had a storm grey med loop now :(

Weird, they had a bunch in Los Angeles when I was in the other day. Definitely more of a focus on the Sport and Woven Nylon bands over all else though. And the SS models were only being shown off with Link and Milanese bands.

I have a 38mm watch so I had to buy a third-party loop. It works, but it isn't all that soft. Perhaps someone can recommend a good one that is? Additionally, the dye came off when a little bit of alcohol got onto the band (I work in a lab). That concerned me. Do the official bands have that problem or is it just cheap third-party dye?

Fortunately, there's no visible blemish left on the band.

What kind did you buy? I got the Burkley Case one for $60, and while it is not quite as soft as the official one, it is of a solid quality, and definitely genuine leather. I'm still saving for a real one though.
