According to Jobs, 0.55% of all iPhone 4 users have called Apple Care to complain. Yes, one half of one percent.
That's the problem with Jobs using statistics (and LTD spouting the same stats) to minimize the overall impact to its customers. Plus that doesn't take into account the people who went to AT&T for resolution. Also does this ".55%" of people who called apple care also include customers who physically visited an apple store? I'd say probably not.I was affected but I didn't complain
So while LTD is drinking the cool aid and trying to convince people that this is a non-problem, clearly not enough apple customers were affected.
This is the kind of attitude that puts me off Apple users and Apple themselves.Fixed.
That's because apple is becoming adept at ignoring the issues, in fact that has been their modus operandi for quite some time. They were denying an antenna problem all together until Consumer Reports came out with their scathing report.Fast forward 1-2 months later, it's as if the problem never existed.
Fast forward 1-2 months later, it's as if the problem never existed.
The millions of cases Apple gave to it's iPhone 4 customers fixed the problem. Without the case, there is a problem.
Is there precedent for an October event?
A lot of rumors seem to be flying around...
- 11" MacBook
- MBA way overdue for an i3 update
- 7" iPads
- A post-September iPhone antenna fix suggest by Steve at the Antennagate Bumper special media event
- iLife 11 appearing and then disappearing at Amazon
Anybody think that we're about to get yet another event? It just seems so unlikely given that we just had one on September 1st, but if there is any truth to the rumor that Apple plans to sell a boat-load of 11" laptops in 2010, then it does seem possible that El Jobso will be sending out invites any day.
