Went out on my works Christmas party last week and I found it to be a bit hit and miss on the 2nd time I've used it. Going down from Watford all the way to Bank worked fine but coming home 2 out of 4 touches it asked me to authenticate.

It appears to be this one - https://www.apple.com/ios/feature-availability/ - and I don't think it means a huge amount. It is just languages, not regions.

Here where you are coming from but at the top of the page it says:

Some iOS and iPadOS features are not currently available in every region or language. Choose a feature below to see if it’s supported in your region and language

Appreciate it says *some* but seems a weird inclusion when it’s not available outside of the U.S yet...

My region is set to China, yet I use everything in English (UK). I’m sure not everyone in the US chooses to use their iPhones in English. Other features on that page are language dependent rather than region dependent too

When I was in the US last year, I had to renable the magnetic strip on my Starling Bank card. I was in such shock they tried to take my card off me and swipe it through some dodgy machine.

Finally got to use Express Transit on the tube yesterday, found it to be flakey on tapping in, but fine on the way out. Not as quick as just pre authenticating before getting to the get though.

It is actually pretty ok. I use it everyday. You probably need to get used to it.

Have Asda removed the £30 limit? Notice the one near me at Langley Mill has seemingly removed the £30 Apple/Google Pay signage at the self serve and on the contactless button on there.

Y'know now you mentioned it, I noticed this in my local one too, didn't think too much of it at the time though.

As of yesterday (1st April) the limit for all contactless transactions has been increased from £30 to £45. It may take a little while for people to update their systems, but should be rolling out quite quickly.

I thought most retailers already allowed for limitless Apple Pay, but must admit I haven’t checked Tesco.

In terms of Tesco we have been told we will get an increase to £45 but roll out will be gradual because they don’t want to update the software in one go as they are concerned about things going Pete Tong and causing an inconvenience for customers.
