Yep the same for my local Tesco as well. On Saturday I spent £90 odd on Apple Pay without any issues. Been doing the same for most of the year.

My Tesco is limitless

Ditto, I’ve used Apple Pay for more than £45 in Tesco

That was my first point, most people don't know it's not the same as regular contactless which has the £45 limit. My second point I meant in general where stores haven't enabled limitless Apple Pay on their card machines.

I work for Tesco and you can spend up to £250 with Apple Pay-has been like this for a fair few months now.
I assume it’s been rolled out across all formats but they focused mainly on superstore/extra stores before moving onto metro/express.

Asda still not supporting over £45 with Apple Pay, I mentioned it last Friday to the woman on the til and she didn't even know Apple Pay supported over £45 ANYWHERE.

That’s odd, I’m sure the plastic things on the tills that mention the £45 contactless limit say they support over that for device payments.

I spent above £45 via contactless before Christmas in a local store.

Yeah they do but not in Asda, or at least my local Asda.

Yep, our local Asda has had over £45 Apple Pay for about 4 weeks now. Saves us having to take a wallet and card and disinfect them when getting home :)

Does anyone know if AMEX works through Apple Pay or contactless now?

Yes, it‘s been working for years for me...
I think they mean does AmEx work at Asda. We haven't been there for over a year but at that point they didn't accept AmEx contactless via card or Apple Pay - always had to use chip/PIN or use another card.

Ah OK.
I do know that some AmEx cards wouldn’t work with contactless at Tesco fuel pumps for a long time, but that got fixed.
So many retailers don’t accept AmEx at all so partly for that reason I’ve gone back to using a Visa card.

Is there an easy way to contact someone at Asda to have a little grumble about Amex not working? ?

In other news contactless is being upped to £100. Should be useful for those places they still don’t allow HVP.

I wondered if they had a form on their website to feedback about AmEx but it appears not ?.
