I know Apple use Goldman Sachs in the US but *if* it ever makes it to the UK I wonder if they’d use Chase Bank? They have a numberless MasterCard w/the numbers stored on the app, for starters. Just like Apple Card….

I have had a Chase account since it opened last year, it's very minimal and I like it. I did have a similar thought yesterday but I really don't see it happening at this point.

Not a bad shout about Chase. Rumours are they will soon be launching a Credit card to go with their current account. I’ve had a Chase current account since launch, haven’t really used it much other than a spending account for their cash back. They have only just sorted out Direct Debts.

Not holding my breath, but seems like a good Apple move for more banking services in the UK -

Could still be years away, if it happened at all.

Anyone else have trouble with Clubcard in wallet? Doesn’t work on the newer self service tills for me

If this is the new Tesco Till software I do find I have to wiggle my phone around a bit to get it to scan.

If I use the app itself (until it stops working due to it being phased out) the QR code has no issues.

Spotted this on a trolley at work.

My local Waitrose lost internet entirely yesterday. No contactless or Apple Pay - chip & pin or cash... Thank goodness I'd popped into town with my bag to go to the bank first and had my bank card!

Not convinced bnpl from Apple can ever reach uk, only as no sign of G.S. Apple Card....
Mobile networks offer decent monthly installements.

GS is operating in the US only for the majority of their products. In the UK they only have what, a savings product. Compared to Chase which is pushing for the UK market hard, I'd say even Chase might be a better bet in the UK.

If I were Apple, I'd have built an API specification than can be ported to other FI offering credit services.
