I probably don't use it as much as I could or should. I am happy I have it for when I do need it though. It is fantastic when signing and emailing PDF files. It sure beats printing, signing and scanning documents.
I find that my Apple Pencil usage is directly related to which cover I happen to be using. When I'm using the Apple Smart Keyboard, I don't use the Pencil. When I am using the Smart Cover, I use the Pencil.

I tend to have somewhat of the same behavior. I switch covers a lot and if I'm using the ASK it's usually in the "stand" mode and a little difficult to use the Pencil.

I got my iPad Pro 12.9 and Apple Pencil on Friday and am using the Pencil a lot. I tend to have it in my hand so gets used as a stylus, for taking notes, marking up sheet music etc. I am glad I got a back case with a pencil loop so it is always there.

can't find a good reason to get one after starting the thread sometime back

I don't have Ipad but my friend uses Pencil everyday. He uses pencil to check the mails, news and he draws too. :)

I just got a 10.5 iPad Pro w/ Apple Pencil and use it for typing( minimize fingerprints) selection for copy/paste and handwriting in messages to my Lady. As I learn how to use my pro more I’ll probably be doing a lot if written notes and letters. Query: How do I add my signature to a outgoing email? Can’t use markup
