Found this today on the refurb store (UK), for some reason it showed on my iPhone, but then checked on iPad and not there.
Apple appear to have it listed wrong.....?

Clicking the listing still shows the same spec, and adding it my cart shows the same spec, so not a title error.

A 24 CORE XEON / 48GB RAM / 580X GPU / 4TB SSD.

Checking a BTO of this comes to £13000, so a saving of £7k......
Surely legally they would be obliged to honor this to the customer (it does appear to have been removed now though).

I was one click away from a bargain.....

Back in the 3,1/4,1/5,1 days several people would semi-routinely get "upgraded" systems with better CPU or RAM than listing stated when ordering refurbs. Most of those were off-lease systems 2-3 years after release. Unsure if they're still randomly doing that with 7,1 machines.

That's true......but it's one thing to get 16gb extra ram, just the upgrade from 8 core to 24 core is £6k on the custom page.
There was another 24 core on Page 2 with same ram, same gpu, but 256gb ssd for £9900.....

So pretty sure it was a mistake.

If you really need to buy MP7,1 better do a WTB in the marketplace. There are some insane trade-ins. Look here:

Thanks, but I am not after one per-say.
I was just shocked at the 'low' price compared to the 8 and 12c machines listed.

I would only buy a used macpro from the refurb store, with such a high cost, but that's me.....:p

I am actually still on a multi pronged fence, between Studio/AS Mp/2019 mp, depending on where things go with specs.

If you did want to buy one, you could also look for a used one that still has AppleCare+ because it is renewable to monthly within 30 days past the expiration date.

Also consider 6,1 prices took a nosedive after the Studio was released. Used 7,1 prices went down some too and I think prices will fall more in June if Apple announces the new Mac Pro at WWDC. It will probably be hard to sell a 7,1 for much more than $3k. So now is the time to sell if you want to sell one. And the time to buy is coming, if you don’t like paying more than half the new price for your Macs.

Nope, legally they do not need to honor it. Apple has the right to cancel the order and "cancel" the sales contract. In law school, we learned that the an order to purchase something does not create a contract until after the order is accepted by the seller. If you placed the order and they turn around and cancel it, they did not accept it, so there was no binding contract.

This happens all the time when products are accidentally mispriced. This just recently happened with GameStop and an exclusive Funko. It was mispriced and they cancelled all online orders for it. Now if you were able to walk into an Apple Store, make said purchase and leave with the product - yes, they are legally obligated to sell it at that price and cannot charge you the difference later. Here, an only order can be cancelled before "accepted".

No, I was just browsing......:p
But THEN was very tempted, but then began thinking about energy prices and how much juice it would use (me being only a hobbyist, no work on Mac)....and before you know it....it's Thursday.

If is gone again, it might be me

It is gone at the moment, but it went yesterday then was back later on.
When I added it to my basket (to check if spec was still the same), there is a pull-down for 'how many' do you want, which went up to 10+......

Edit: for some reason I get different results on my iPhone from my iPad....!
It's available again, there are actually 50 Mac Pro's in the refurb store.
