yeah I understand

in fact I understand pretty much everything , except for the Thursday joke/reference .mind explaining?
Since Apple moved to Silicon chips, everything is so much harder to decide on, between Architecture/lifespan/upgrade ability etc......it's just giving me a headache......🤯

I feel your pain @MarkC426 !

In terms of speed/portability/software support it's a great move, however, what MANY people keep seeming to forget is that ARM architecture has very low support.

There is a ton of software that is only built/optimized to run on x86 Arch (especially GAMES), and for that reason I cannot join the ARM bandwangon until things are properly ported over (which I highly doubt will happen, especially for old games from the 90's which I cannot live without for nostalgia).

People just keep getting hung up on "how fast" the Mac Studio is, but they fail to take ^that into consideration, not to mention, it will further lock users to apple's ecosystem, which is exactly what they want.

NOT being able to dual/multiboot with other OS' is a huge negative IMO.

I mean, if all I wanted to use was Apple's OS, then I'd just use my iPhone or iPad....

I wonder if there will come a time where macOS and iOS will basically just merge. It certainly feels like that's what they want to do with porting iOS apps over to Monterey, etc... That is a sad future IMO
