In terms of speed/portability/software support it's a great move, however, what MANY people keep seeming to forget is that ARM architecture has very low support.
There is a ton of software that is only built/optimized to run on x86 Arch (especially GAMES), and for that reason I cannot join the ARM bandwangon until things are properly ported over (which I highly doubt will happen, especially for old games from the 90's which I cannot live without for nostalgia).
People just keep getting hung up on "how fast" the Mac Studio is, but they fail to take ^that into consideration, not to mention, it will further lock users to apple's ecosystem, which is exactly what they want.
NOT being able to dual/multiboot with other OS' is a huge negative IMO.
I mean, if all I wanted to use was Apple's OS, then I'd just use my iPhone or iPad....
I wonder if there will come a time where macOS and iOS will basically just merge. It certainly feels like that's what they want to do with porting iOS apps over to Monterey, etc... That is a sad future IMO
