Apple really needs to rethink their Mac Pro pricing

Yay, another headless iMac/xMac/etc. thread.

I really have no idea what the OP is trying to add to the discussion that hasn't already been aired here and elsewhere.

Look into high performance QUIET pc. The pc price will get close to Mac Pro, without OSX.

Price also includes Apple's high quality support.

If you can't afford a premium product, get something else, or a better job.

pfft . . . if it were cheap, true Apple buyers wouldn't want it because it would stink of its own cheapness. It would only grant access to the less elite.

That Core i7 isn't a workstation processor and the Mac Pro is not for consumers.

The i7 can do extremely fast content creation for a fraction of the cost of a dual quad xeon workstation. Apple just won't sell us one.
