Apple Rebates Made Easier

I just got my MBA last week and picked up a printer with a $100 rebate. Very easy to submit and I got the check on Monday. Why is it so hard for other rebates?

yeah, the new apple rebate is awesome. The check arrived to us before the free printer did (well, would have.. the printer never made it to my house and was returned to Apple.. but that's not relevant to our discussion that Apple's rebate submission system is pretty great)
