This marks the beginning of users becoming dumb. To use build in AI for more precise articulation in written communication is way to sweet not to use it. Plus it's way faster. The flipside of the coin: the user becomes stupid over time, because everyone will loose the skill to articulate themselves. Just like those fats tourists in the movie Wall-E.

- Dumb boy: "Hey Siri, make profile like I'm handsome"
- Clever girl: "Hey Siri, make profile like I'm a model using AI"

With every new ad Apple creates, I feel an even stronger desire to remove Apple devices from my life and switch to Linux, Garmin, and Android.

Me too

I'm going to finally get serious about figuring out my photos sync/backup situation so I can get off of overpaying Apple for 2TB iCloud (it's the only thing I pay them for)

The direction they are going, and how it's being reflected in their marketing, has really turned me off

They are no longer representing values and hopeful ideals of the company I grew to love many decades ago.

I don't know at all where to start.. everything about these ads is wrong... what's going on at Apple?
These ads are so incredibly depressing. I don't want to live in a world like that.

This is on the heels of that highly controversial AD where they were showing a giant hydraulic press crushing dozens of items of creative expression

The marketing team or third party agency needs to be fired

so you launch a software update, with the promise of AI. Then one needs to know to go to the Siri setting and ask to join to use the so called features that 18.1 offers. Now I’m waiting to be approved. This whole process from the announcement to the execution is a total joke.

Has Apple ever had more cringe commercials than these? I'm serious
Yes, the iPad crushing real music instruments, cameras, painting and sculpture tools, claiming that the iPad will replace human culture and artistic achievement was much worse. These are truly execrable though. As both artist and UX expert, I'd rather not be associated with the Apple brand in the future.

So the message is that AI is for lazy, self-centered, and not very bright people, so they can pretend to be much better than they really are? Humanity has a really bright future ahead of it... If it goes on like this it won't be long before we don't even want to engage with others on social media since lazy blobs will have AI as their advocate, because they wouldn't have been able to construct a convincing argument themselves.

They’ve been promoting a feature that hasn’t even been available on the phone since its launch. This feels so uncharacteristic of Apple.
I’m sure it will start feeling characteristic soon enough.

The second ad features a woman who forgot it was her husband's birthday, so she whips up a quick Memory Movie slideshow on her iPhone as a gift.
Stupid Apple. Ruining it for everyone by making this an ad. Now that everybody has seen it, that trick has become useless.
