Hai there I'm waiting on my Powerbook 17" with the 7200 HD when I ordered it (2 november) Apple said it will be deliverd the 10th of november. Right now I'm still without my Powerbook :( .

If I look at the delivery status it says,

Shipment Picked Up SHANGHAI, SH, CN 07 Nov 2005 00:30
Depart Terminal SHANGHAI, SH, CN 08 Nov 2005 18:05

Does anyone who also orderd a PB has any clue how long it takes from Shanghai to your home.

At least your items are moving. I ordered a refurb iMac 20" Monday, and its estimated ship date is the 14th:mad: A week until it even starts moving, on an item listed as "1-2 day" availability. Fortunately, they've already charged for and shipped Applecare:confused:

Hellova long plane trip

My imac G5 has been on a plane from Shanghai since 7th November, I would have thought that they would have run out of fuel by now!

Did Apple say deliver by the 10th? Or did they say it would ship by the 10th? In the US at least, Apple normally only gives an estimate of when something will ship by.

The only thing Apple has given deliver by dates in the US has been on preorders of some software.

I would have thought that Apple would be employing freight companies with the latest technology to transport our precious cargo!

I would see a widget with a live camera tracking system so you can guard your shipment;)

I've been waiting for my PowerMac for almost 3 weeks now... consider yourself lucky that it's not even 2 weeks yet.

At the Apple store I ordered:

the new Powerbook 17" with the 7200 HD option
Edirol (Roland) Monitor Speakers
Bluetooth Apple Keyboard

Only the PB ships from China

I also orderd: (NOT at the Apple store)

1 Gig Kinston RAM 4200 533
Crumpler Backpack/Laptop/DSL bag (very very nice bag)
Wacom Intuos3 A5

And whats the funny thing about it all I'm still waiting on my PB and got al the non Apple store items already at home.
(and ordered it all later)

As they call a Apple program "Quicktime" they can call there delivery service "Slowtime"! ;)
