Has anyone noticed. Hardly anyone in the states compalins over the length of time it takes to get their shipments - I think thats because Apple uses FEDEX over there.

However here in Europe / UK / Ireland we are landed with cheapo cowboy outfit TNT? I wonder if they named themselves after an explosive because I'd really like to stick one in their plug hole right now :D

Seriously they are crap.

Hai there I'm waiting on my Powerbook 17" with the 7200 HD when I ordered it (2 november) Apple said it will be deliverd the 10th of november. Right now I'm still without my Powerbook :( .

If I look at the delivery status it says,

Shipment Picked Up SHANGHAI, SH, CN 07 Nov 2005 00:30
Depart Terminal SHANGHAI, SH, CN 08 Nov 2005 18:05

Does anyone who also orderd a PB has any clue how long it takes from Shanghai to your home.

Just as an indication: My mother's new imac had that on its shipping status on november 4th. It was delivered to her (in Boskoop, Zuid Holland) yesterday.
So considering yours is about 3-4 days later I suppose you can expect it on monday or tuesday.

As far as I know the status isn't updated because TNT doesn't actually get the package until it gets to Holland. In the past apple always supplied you with a Kuhne & Nagel tracking number. They always did the bit from Shanghai. That would explain the lengthy wait without a status update!

Ordered my 15" PB on the 1st and it's arrived in Holland today. Should be here tuesday or wednesday. It was in Shanghai aswell. Maybe it made friends with your PB :)

What annoys me even more is that I ordered a stock imac and it still sat in the status "assembly". What's up with that? Why doesn't apple make sure it has a bunch of these imacs ready to go. Surely most people must order them without BTO options?!

My iBook arrived last week. It took one and a half weeks to get from Shanghai to Amsterdam, then to the UK. Once it was in the UK, it was handled by UPS and it only took about 12 hours to get from the airport to my door. Not bad. I wish Apple would give more info on their shipment tracking page though.

How long does Apple take to ship? Pretty much forever. In my case, I waited 3.5 weeks... and then they told me they had placed the wrong order.... and would I be willing to wait another 3 weeks for the RIGHT order to come? I cancelled, but hey, I'm not bitter.

As someone has said, it must be a Europe thing with Apple. I've only ordered little things like ink and an iSight from the Apple Online Store but even with standard shipping I get them 1-2 days max after ordering with standard free shipping.

I ordered my iBook this Monday at around 10 am. I received yesterday (Thursday) at 9 a.m. via FedEx.

So it took about 3 days to ship from California to Texas.

Pretty fast if you ask me.

What's worse is when Apple pushes your shipment out to the loading dock after pick up on Friday so you have a tracking number, but the freight company won't have it in their system until Monday.

It took my iMac one week to cover the amazing distance from Amsterdam to Hamburg. And TNT doesn't deliver after 6 pm to top it all off.

Well, most of the benchmarks I'm seeing from the Quads are from owners in the UK and Germany, and they were all shipped from Ireland.

I haven't heard of a single person in the U.S. getting their Quads yet, so you've all got us beat there. :)
