What is the situation at the Apple Stores?

Has anyone purchased their 3G from an Apple Store yet?

Has anyone come across a sold out Apple Store yet?
 
I went to the Apple store in Danbury CT at 6:00PM and was asked at the door if I was browsing or purchasing. I said I was purchasing and they went and got someone to handle my transaction. I was in and out in about 10 minutes, I got the 32GB 3G model.
 
My store is out of 16GB, but they only got a small handful, probably because they didn't sell the wifi quickly.
 
I went to the Apple store in Soho at 7:25pm, they were out of of 16GB 3G, they had 32s and 64s, i was in and out in 5 minutes....no wait.
 
Was at oak ridge in san jose earlier and they said they will have plenty :)
 
Probably 80 people ahead of me at sf Stockton store. I walked away with 16gb in less than 5 min after entering the building. All Wifi models were out, but all 3g models were there.
 
The Apple Store in Clarendon (Arlington, VA) was out of everything except the WIFI 16gb by 7:30 p.m. tonight.
 
i went by the peabody mass apple store tonight looking for a camera connection kit. at around 7pm there was no line but people were still buying ipads so it looks like they had plenty. no camera connection kits tho :(
 
You would think that Apple would have online stock status available for all of the products at all of their stores.

Other companies do this who aren't anywhere near as cool as Apple.

The line was huge! About 175-200 people during launch at the Apple Store in Tampa.

Really? I arrived there around 7:30, had about 4 people in front of me, was done with my purchase in 10 minutes and then lingered until about 8:15 while my son played with a computer. When I left, I saw maybe 8-10 people in line.
 
got to best but @435 and there was a line of 9 in front of me. they handed out vouchers for whatever model you wanted right b4 5pm and i got a 16gb.

my friend said at 4:00, there were 75-100 people in front of him at the apple store.

i then went home, ate dinner and went to the apple store at 830. there were about 4 people in front of me, and i waited less than 5 mins. they were sold out of 16's but had plenty of 32's & 64's, so i got 2 32's.

i'll just sell the 32's overseas to cut down on the cost, and keep the 16 :p
 
Alderwood Mall Apple store in Lynnwood Washington is very low

just picked my 3g, only waited 40 mins, theyre running low
