Interesting I don't know if there is any relation but if you check out toms hardware they just posted and article "Behind the Tech: Sandy Bridge Recall, An Insider's Story"

Maybe I an just hopeful that this is it, all the Wait may be over and the new iMac is here?? (PLEASE)

Does the Apple Store ever go down just for regular maintenance? I haven't followed item refreshes for very long -- and I know that this is how they brought in the new MBP's -- but this seems like a routine site update action.

Or is there always a strong correlation between site going down and product releases?

(and if so, is there anything else rumored to be released for this time period?)

Regardless -- I'm excited.

I always thought it was Tuesday/Wednesday for updates, Sunday for maintenance?

As much as I'd love to see new iMac's today and not to sound discouraging but it's unlikely that we are going to see a refresh today

As much as I would like to join the wishful thinking bandwagon and put the cart in front of the horse, I'll hold onto my skepticism for the moment.

IF Apple refreshes the iMac tonight, I will be very surprised as there have been no signs of shortages of the iMac in Apple's own online store.

I'll definitely will be laughing at you who thought that this was it.
