Yep. I should of took a screen shot but didn't think of it.

Speaking of screen shots... :apple:

Is that crazy or what. Will Apple get the message?
Nope. Not when they can push all this quad core love, towards purchases of an iMac, MBP, or Mac Pro. $ first, customer wants - second.

But you could always listen to the folks/fanbois who say Apple can't make a mini support two different motherboards.

Are the 2012s ever available in the Canadian store? I believe they were $469 last I saw them about a year ago.

You know EightyTwenty, I believe that they could be available in the Canadian store. :) I just checked and the stores looked the same! This may not be true for other versions of the Apple Store but tonight the offerings are identical. :apple:

This is my first time checking. Have you ever compared the two stores?

I purchased a quad core Mini last March from the Canada site, but haven't been checking any more. When I was checking, the US store had Minis when the Canada store did not. The Canada refurb store is different, for example refurb iPads are limited to low end models when there are many more for sale on the US site. Refurbs for Canada are shipped from Ontario Ca. so I don't know why the stock is different.

Yes, I noticed some filtering in the iPad offerings but the Mac mini sections appeared to be the same. Have you observed the Mac sections to have different stock from each other?

Like I said, when looking for a 2012 there were many times when the US refurb store had 2012s and the Canada store did not.

I kind of feel better buying locally from Craig's List when possible. I get to meet the person who used the computer and can usually get a sense of legitimacy on it's condition. Plus it seems it is usually cheaper than buying from a retail outlet.
To me even Ebay (my late 2006 iMac) discussing via email can give me 'some' feel of the owner (if it was his).
Just a perspective.

Sorry, I misunderstood because of the question that prompted your response. EightyTwenty asked if 2012s are ever available in the Canadian store. Your response implied a yes to that question but then you explained some differences between the two stores. I did not understand that you meant to say what you claimed in the quoted post about 2012s specifically. o_O

I agree that the Canadian site appears to offer somewhat different stock that the American store does. :apple:

I'm in Toronto and I got a refurbed 2012 i7 2.6Ghz Quad Core with 8GB/1TB fusion on the Canadian Apple refurb site (in October) so you can get them. I'm putting the 16GB upgrade in from Amazon when it comes in the mail next week as the price was right and possibly the ram may fit in my wife's laptop if it is same spec.

EDIT: added timeframe.

Goodness, those went quick. I am finally capitulating and looks like I'll be buying a 2012 from eBay. Too much common sense in these Mac Mini threads here. And after yet more bs with Apple themselves, I really don't want to give them my money for an overpriced, low spec 2014 or too much money for a Macbook Pro.

Hello
Is there any chance to find a refurbished 2012 Mac mini for tag price of 500$? Will apple keep selling this machine in the store?

No way. Any sale of a 2012 mini is seen as a lost sale of a higher priced Mac. Plus Apple's new 'bilk the customers by gluing everything in, even when it's not needed" policy, makes the 2012 incompatible with the NEW Apple. Those new UFO corporate offices don't pay for themselves.

Apple really brought home to me the meaning of the old saying "There's a thin line between love and hate.". I used to love Apple. Not any more.
