The combination of it nearly being Tuesday and the fact that the store was just down a few days ago for regular maintenance is enough to get my hopes up. It's probably more maintenance, but the timing is just evil.

It has been a good 600 days at least since Apple vamped up its Mac Pro line. Does anyone have any info of more or less when this line is going to be refreshed ?

I am not sure what it means (if anything), but I have been watching Mac Pros on Amazon and BHphoto for a while. As of today the base model Pro is on back order at BH and Amazon has increased the price of the base models and lists a 2 to 4 week shipping estimate. They seem to be selling better than expected or fewer are being made. Interesting...
Also, the cost of the 8-core at Amazon is the lowest I have seen there at $3,156.44. I am not sure when it came down as I have not been watching it as closely.

I for one want the case to stay unchanged! I'm going to swap my old MP for the new one, and my wife won't have a clue I just spent $4K+out our retirement nest egg. Since I handle the finances, there won't be any uncomfortable questions
