Tried using both platforms for over two years and realized neither one really complements each other because Apple refuses to let other brands use iTunes or communicate with each other with their proprietary software and crippled Bluetooth & NFC. Also Apple hates sims and makes it harder to switch by changing the standard every two years. Apple created their own sim for the latest iPads this year. Apple is still the biggest control freak in the mobile industry.

Android & iOS mixes together like oil & vinegar for me. You are better off using Mac + Android or Android with certain strengths + Android with certain strengths if you prefer dual wielding phones. Apple wants us to only use their products. I prefer Google's services anyway but the great thing of iOS is you can use Microsoft and Google apps/services. You will never be out of each other's ecosystem by using iPhone while still being offered Apple's own exclusives. I still hate iOS' linearity which makes me prefer Android.

My preferred combination is Android phone + Android phone + PC. No tablets. Both Androids have to be different enough to complement each other's weaknesses. If I want gaming, I will stick to a console or handheld.

OP, see how it goes for you after awhile when it comes down for you to only CHOOSE ONE platform. Been there. Done that. I will stick to Android for now on.
Well, we lived the dream for 24 posts lads. Was fun while it lasted! :(

Two platforms: IOS and windows. I have a complex business and am able to support my business as such without any issues.

Never can see the big difference between pc and mac. No affinity between either of them for me. But really don't have a good impression on the first MacBook Air which is just so so with its super noisy fan.

Yeah I don't have a really good impression of the iPhone 3G either, god damn is Safari slow on that thing. :D

When editing video and audio, I just have more trust for Mac/OSX machines. I can have triple the specs on a PC/Windows machine and still have more hiccups and errors with editing. Gaming is still better on PC. Other than that it's pretty much all the same.

I build my own windows box with top shelf components, over clock them and they run like gangbusters for years.

I'm back to both again. I've just picked up an ipad mini 3. I've only been out of the Apple ecosystem for a month and haven't really missed it but I thought I might as well get one as they are such a good price. Plus I'm not getting on well with my Nexus 7 2013 as my portable tablet.

That's interesting. I just feel that I prefer the way OS X does things, for example mission control or desktop spaces are extremely useful things for me.

Join the club. I own both an iPhone 6 and a Moto X. I enjoy using both iOS and Android and wouldn't have it any other way. I also like that my 6 and Moto X both take nano sims. I wish the Lumia 635 also took a nano sim so I could try out Windows 8.1.

$3 adaptor on Amazon turns a Nanosim into a Microsim. Easy.
