Does anyone know how long after they receive the old devices do they credit your credit card?
I received my trade-in kit on the 24th with my phone - shipped my old phone back on the 25th, received an e-mail today (29th) saying my trade-in had been accepted, and that I should allow up to 5 days from today for the refund to be credited to my account.

Received the kit on 9/27. Dropped off at UPS on 9/29. UPS delivered on 10/1. Got processed email on 10/2. Said allow 5 days to receive credit back to my credit card. That was fast!

Picked up my 13 on 24th, and received the kit on 27th. Thought about doing an in-store trade-in instead, but seems like that’s not an option since I’ve selected mail-in at the time of the order.
I was concerned about this too. I went to the store and didn’t over explain, just told them I bought a new iPhone and was there to finish my trade in. They took my order number and serial numbers from the trade in phone, and processed the credit back to my credit card just fine.

Wow - that is fast! Shipped two iPhones off and they were both delivered on 9/30. No processed email yet, so hopefully soon!

Yes. Definitely faster processing than I’ve anticipated. Hope yours will be processed soon.

Thought I would add my story here, as my trade in went really smooth.

On Sept 17, I pre-ordered the iPhone 13 Pro Max for in-store pick up on Sept 24, with a trade in of my iPhone 12 Pro Max valued at $790. Picked up my new phone at the Apple store with no issues on Sept 24. Received the trade in kit on Sept 29. Went to UPS on Saturday morning, Oct 2, and dropped it off (made sure to weigh package and get receipt, which I immediately took a picture of in the UPS store).

Apple received the box yesterday, Oct 6, and today, Oct 7, sent an email that my trade in was complete and I will be issued the $790 refund in 5 days.

I'm very happy to say that the process was really easy!

Looks like mine was received in PA on 10/5, but no email or confirmation in the Apple Store app of what is going on other than its waiting to be received. Should I call Apple to see if something is hung up?

I'm curious if you get your refund via credit to your original payment method or if it will be via Apple Store gift card.

I have always gotten a refund to my credit card used for the pre-order after the mail-in trade-in was processed, in prior pre-order trade-ins, but yesterday I got an email saying that my Trade-In was processed and when I view my order status on the Apple Store App is states that my "Apple Gift Card is coming soon". #confusing

2 phones shipped from a FedEx store at the same time. All scans for each phone were within minutes of each other until delivery to AI in Carlisle. The were then scanned in 2 1/2 hours apart. Trade in acceptance notifications for each were then a full day apart. Actual credits to my card were less than 5 minutes apart. Total time from shipment to actual credits on my card was 9 days including a weekend.

I received my refund today, on my credit card that I purchased the iPhone 13 on. Mine said something about a gift card as well, but no, that's not how I received the refund.

I guess that's my last update on this. Oct 2nd - dropped off iPhone at UPS store (get your receipt!!!), and Oct 9th, refund received.

I also got confirmation of a successful trade in today. So received last Wednesday (October 5th) and then approx. 4 business days get confirmation (its mentioned 1-3 days after receipt).

All in all smooth, but I think the next time I upgrade I’m going to trade in store and save myself minor distress about the shipping and validation

I got confirmation as well. Was not as smooth as I would have liked and agree with others on trade in anxiety but all was good.

my 11 Pro was naked the entire time I had it and was in bread condition - not major dings and only minor oleophobic scratches you would expect after 2 years. Got full trade in value.

I sent mine in I had two phones on IUP and sent both in at the same time, one was processed and everything was good, the other one Apple said they received an empty box and opened an "investigation" with fedex, and said they would update in 48 hours last Wednesday, its been over 48 hours with no update..
