I purchased two iPhones 16 Pros and trading in iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro. The 13 pro was quoted for $340 and they revised it to $85 saying there’s “pitting on the camera with no detrimental impact to picture quality” wtf. The camera looked good to me.

I rejected the price. This is BS.
Now I’m wondering what they will try to low ball me for my iPhone 14 Pro once they’re done inspecting.

Was the inspection by Phobio or the nightmare mail in iPhone trade in company that Apple uses ?

My trade in at the Apple store was zero inspection - they took it out of the case and gave me $340 against the 16 Pro. Easiest trade in ever.

I’m not sure. I rejected it so I’m expecting them to ship it back. I’ll take it to the apple store

Definitely take it to the Apple Store. I just traded in my 14 Pro at the store and the associate looked it over for literally less than 3 seconds and gave me full trade-in value.

I just got full refund for the 14 Pro just now. So I’ll take the 13 Pro to Apple.

Do we need an appointment?

Mine was almost a disaster. The rep first had me start the trade-in process via the app on their device and scanned my phone (screen, back etc). Afterwards they ran a remote diagnostics. My iPhone 12 Pro checked out for $205 (full value for the 12 Pro from Apple is $220) but I used the AT&T trade-in promo, so when the rep said we can take off $205 from your purchase instantly or give you a gift card, I said I was supposed to get $1000 off w/ the AT&T special promo. They tried to enter my order-number to apply the trade-in but the app on their device didn't work so they told me I couldn't trade-in the phone at the store. Thankfully, I had received an email from Apple earlier saying to bring my phone and trade it in at the Apple store. The rep got a manager and the manager showed them how to apply the trade-in to my pick-up order. I got email confirmation and my order updated saying that the trade-in was verified and i will get the special AT&T $1000 trade-in credit for my 12 Pro. Anyways, I think it is important to ask questions and make sure you get some sort of confirmation you are getting what you are expecting. Also, if you are doing a carrier promo (at least with AT&T), you can bring the phone to trade-in with the carrier if you have issues at Apple.

lots of people do online trade in with no issues, they just dont post up here. ive done it many times for my samsung phone and apple with zero issue.

the only reason i did in store this time ws because i had some micro scratches on the apple screen and felt the online folks would ding me ( even though the internet said they wouldn't).

i went to the store on friday, homegirl didnt even visually inspect the phone. she scanned a qr code that did the internal tests and we spent time jawin' about life waiting for it to finish.

Ty. Just took to Apple Store and got full trade in quote. He just ran some diagnostics and that was it.

I traded in my 15 pro max by purchasing the new iPhone, is there a possibility that it will be valued more than the estimate made on the site? because the device is perfect in everything

For those that have traded in at the store, did you setup a trade in online when ordering the new phone? They wouldn’t take an in store trade in on mine as it was set up to be mailed in when I bought the phone.

I also have a trade-in question. I have an iPhone 12 Mini that they value at $150.00 The battery max charge is down to 79% though. Will Apple offer less than the $150.00 due to that? Everything else on the phone is perfect though. Thanks.

Sorry that happened. I've never had a problem with it, including this time. I just got the email today saying that the transaction was completed at the stated amount.

this afternoon they sent me the email and the maximum value is the same as the one estimated on the site

they were very fast, after a couple of hours from the arrival of the device they confirmed the evaluation

I've been trading via mail to goroostr.com and they're very good and fair. Got $600 for my 14ProMax 256, and $485 for a 14Pro 128GB
