Apple TV passes the "girlfriend test"

I'll get to find out soon. I am tired of having the DVDs I purchased manhandled by my nephew, and my wife trying to figure out why I get peeved when the discs get scratched. Yes, they are Disney...but I bought them for moi, when no kiddies were around.....so yea. Loved the brand new one I bought (for him this time) that wound up in the VCR (and ruined without ever being watched).

So, I am waiting for the 40gb to be delivered tomorrow, and will set up with a few of the kids faves on it, and see how it goes. Personally, I think it will be easy to sell as "no more fumbling to find the DVD", provided I've put it on the device first.

I think, honestly the biggest issue may be the size of the remote. That it's white could help, but my wife, her mother and my nephew and my own kids (2yr old triplets)...they like to lose remotes 4 times the size of the little Apple one.

Easily fixed. Glue it to a brick, or tie/super glue some string to it and tie it to something.

You got 2-year old triplets? Strongly advise to hang it up somewhere out of reach or they'll nibble on it / flush it down the toilet / hide it in the doll house / put it in the piggy bank / in the VCR / attempt to stick it somewhere the sun don't shine. My daughter has tried all these things, and more, with various small objects of value.

The AppleTV we had in the lounge sold itself to my fiancee so well that while I was thinking about whether to get another one for upstairs or not, my fiancee suggested the very same thing!
