Are you familiar with the smallatv.rar file ? Supposedly with this file, after you unzip, gives you a .dmg file and you can restore all the firmware from this .dmg file by first erasing the entire ATV HD and then choosing restore in Disk Utility. This is suppose to take the Apple TV back to it's original form. Only thing needed is to to do a Factory Restor, once the ATV boots. Does this sound like anything your aware of ? Thank you.

Why, yes, it sounds very familiar to me. ;)

I guess what I'm asking is, if I use this method , do you think it would have a good chance of being successful ? Thank you CaveMan !

OK CaveMan, Please be easy on me! :) I screwed up Big Time!
I made a major mistake and I don't know if I can fix it. While following your Instructions (or not following), I by accident erased the entire ATV Hard Drive. It allowed me to put the Apple Updater on but now all I get is an Apple & it keeps trying to reboot the Apple TV over & over again. It's probably looking for those missing (hidden Files). Is there ANY way to get those files back ? I'm sorry for not paying close attention to your extremely detailed instructions but I'm at my wits end here. Thanks for all the help. I do appreciate it!

Do you think that the smallatv.dmg is the Disk Image ?

I tried restoring to it in Disk Utility and it gave me this Error:
Restore Failure
Could not Validate Source - Error 254

Please forgive me but the procedure in the Links you provided, I just could not comprehend. It also mentions using Linux, which I don't have. I'm not one to Type Code in Terminal & that looks too Complex for me to try. I would not even know where to start. Guess that's why I'm in this mess.

Just an Update. Got a member of the 123Macmini Forum, to walk me through Terminal & he got my Apple TV up & running in half an hour. I used the smallatv.dmg file.
