Am I thinking about this correctly that it's cheaper to go through Verizon's device payment plan? They give you a discount off the monthly access fee. I'm assuming you don't get that same discount if you get the phone through Apple's program. Is that right?

Can Anyone break down the difference between the Apple iPhone Installments compared to the Apple iPhone upgrade program? Im leaning more toward the iPhone installments because i don't care for the apple care. Want to really know with the iPhone installments program can you pay off the phone whenever you want like the iPhone upgrade program?

Installments are the price of the phone broken out of 24 months. No annual upgrade. No AppleCare plus.

iPhone upgrade program is the price of the phone plus the price of apple care broken up over 24 months. Annual upgrade.

Numbers don't add up.

The most expensive iPhone is 969+tax=1055 (in NYC)
With program: 45.75*24=1098
So, are they selling AppleCare for 1098-1055=43 dollars?

If we go with the Apple Upgrade Plan, to avoid the monthly payments, can we just pay for the first 12 months at one time?

So I'm a Verizon customer and plan on preordering tonight. I'm not currently enrolled in the Apple Upgrade Program but wish to enroll tonight. Will they make me trade in my current phone (iPhone 6), or will I be able to preorder and lease the 7+ without doing so? Thanks in advance!

Thank you. Do you know if you can pay it off early or are you stuck with the monthly payments?

Yep! Took me a while (months) to figure this out, but you can sign up for an online Citizens account once you're approved and payoff there.

No, that is incorrect. If you go through any phone payment plan or pay full price up front, you will get the cheaper access fee. The higher access fee only applies if you are getting a subsidized device on a 2 year contract.

No. It just gets you closer to owning the phone and you would have 12 payments left.

Does the apple app give you a choice to pay the iPhone out right? Or do I have to choose a plan?

So if I use the AUP to get the iPhone 7, and then next September, I get the iPhone 7S, and let's say keep the 7S for over 2 years, will I only have paid for half of an iPhone 7 and the full price for the iPhone 7S?

If that wasn't clear, do I effectively only pay for half of each phone if I upgrade each year?

You get the same discount as long as the line is out of contract.
