Lol, I find it funny when someone says"they make like 100k a year! They're rich".
It all depends on where you live and how content you are.

In some parts of the country making 100k is an exorbitant amount of money, and in others its not. I live in the the northeast which tends to be on the expensive side, though not as bad as SF. So around here 100k, is clearly considered upper middle class.

by the way your comments come across arrogant and condescending. I don't measure my worth by the number of commas in my paycheck and people who do, seem to across as being overly narcissistic

This thread is about high and low class. 100K is not high class however you chop it. Its not "low class" either so I can see why people are leaning toward high class in the poll.

There really needs to be a middle class option.

I made on a poll on a forum once asking how good of a driver you are.

Extremely good (I could race cars)
Better than average
Average
Bad

Needless to say 80% of the responders said Extremely good or better than average. About 70% said extremely good and the rest were actually mostly "bad".

My point is in some parts of the country and certainly in many areas of the world. 100k is high class. If I made 100k, in Georgia, Mississippi, or the Carolinas I'd be considered well off.

You wouldn't make 100k down here becasue nobody would deal with you if you had an attitude like that.

Whether 100k is enough or not enough also greatly depends on whether you have money-sucking leeches kids.

That snooty, pompous one thinking you'd be rich if you lived in the South.

You seem to be a little sensitive over this, but my point was quite the opposite. The cost of living is different around the country. I was merely pointing out that in one section of the country 100k is easier to live on then others.

For the record I have friends and family in the south and not one of them ever accused me of being snooty or pompus, quite the opposite. If you're a little sensitive about cost of living where you live, don't blame me.

If you'd have mentioned Cost of Living earlier, I wouldn't have said anything. But you stated that if you made 100k in several southern states folks would consider you well off. I'm stating that, around here, folks would consider that individual a douche for thinking so highly of themselves.

What the hell does money have to do with class?

It is often INVERSELY Proportional? ::rolleyes:

What a silly poll.

Owning Apple products doesn't necessarily demonstrate High Class, Snobbery or Good Taste.

It merely represents HIGH INTELLECT and/or the ability to spot a good (long term) deal and jump on it.

Have Fun,
Keri and the :apple::apple::apple::apple:

PS I thought I clicked "Low Class, lots of Apple" but may have accidentally clicked "High Class".
Oops. Freudian Slip?
