It will only ever compete with DS's/Gameboys. Which are for children. .

Back when I worked retail, lots of younger adults bought Gameboy's and the DS as well almost as much as kids did. They are targeted at all ages.

Agreed, I have kids and so my circle of friends and acquaintances all have kids as well. I can easily say how popular DS is among them and various age groups. Most parents I know have no problems buying a DS for their children, few I know will be so willing for an iPod touch, jut to play games.
