We don't really have alot of choices. I wish the the Ocean Band was offered in Product Red or Jet Black. See my order details above. In addition, I also ordered myself a yellow one. I'm not sure why since this will be my regular daily watch. Also, they are delayed till October now :(

Agree. We don't have a lot of options... That yellow band looks very nice!

I'm gonna wait until I can see them in person at the store.

So looking forward to get my Ultra this Friday.

I wish Apple had introduced a Titanium Band with the Apple Watch Ultra. That would have been targeted more towards everyday daily usage... special occasions such as weddings, going to work every day, or even hanging out with friends. Maybe Apple wants us to Buy Apple Watch S8 and Apple Watch Ultra together. Not going to happen!

Apple Watch S8 targetted more towards the = special occasions.
Apple Watch Ultra targetted more towards = When you are working out.

Hopefully, in the future more AW Ultra bands are offered just for the athletics but for regular everyday usage too.

I got the yellow ocean band, I’ll have to see how the Ultra matches the bands I have, I suspect just fine. I only wear Nike sport bands…

I would think that out of all the bands the ocean one would would be the best for sweat and moisture. I wear a garmin now and have a silicone band at the moment. Its super easy just to give it a quick rinse in the sink and dry it off with a towel. I noticed when I use nylon bands the sweat and water take an hour or so to dry. I dont feel very clean with it on despite taking a shower. It'll be interesting to see how the alpine and trail loops hold up in this dept

While we’re tracking things haha, anyone see any movement on their APP 2nd Gen? Mine are still saying “Processing” in the Store app.

Edit: I also have been charged for the AirPods.
I wonder if these are already staged in the states and just waiting for Wednesday or Thursday to make any movement.

I also ordered the midnight ocean. I’m not really gonna judge it until I’ve got the watch in my hand
im with you on this. It seems like whenever I see the alpine i regret not getting it (I did order it separately) but when I look back at the ocean band I feel like its more like the silicone im used to which has been amazing in all weather conditions.

I’ve loved my Apple Watches and always had them in stainless steel or ceramic. The problem for me is that being a square watch they look fine for the office or for dressing up on an evening out but a bit too dressy for casual wear when having a few casual drinks with the guys in a bar or when doing sports activities.
This is where I think a traditional round watch shape comes into its own and fits in to any environment.
I’m hoping that the ultra with its chunkier footprint might give me the best of all worlds

Yeah, I am signed in, using my Mac. 🤷‍♂️
Yes, I am signed into UPS My Choice.
Here's the best I got for you...if you can't get there, it may be an issue in the UPS system and either your phone number, or address in UPS MyChoice is just off and not allowing your package to auto-populate there.

Windows / Mac doesn't matter. This is all from the desktop web site, not the UPS App. Looking up by reference number under tracking will not get you to this for UPS Security reasons as you have posted.

1) Logged into UPS My Choice > Tracking > View All Shipments...my AW shows up like this.
Screenshot 2022-09-19 081837.png

2) View Details - Full tracking is there and some, but not all of the Reference numbers are there. On this screen, neither my phone # nor Order Number with Apple (Minus 2-Digits) are present yet. Click on the Tracking number to open up specific Package Tracking Details.
Screenshot 2022-09-19 082127.png

3) Full tracking shows up. Reference numbers have previous ones along with Phone # and Apple Order # (minus last 2). Shipment Progress will be populated.

Yeah I agree with you. I have a number of silicon bands that are so easy to maintain. I had a nylon band once and I’ve never felt comfortable with it especially wearing it all day in hot weather or doing sporting activities. It seemed to get grubby really easily.

Excellent choice! I figured that would have been your first choice. I've been upgrading my Apple Watches since Series 3 every year. So to see a new refresh design on an Apple Watch is just awesome.

I would highly advise you to hold at the UPS CC and pick it up first thing in the morning. It's just easier and more convenient. That way you are not waiting all day for the UPS driver. Make sure it's the UPS CC assigned to your destination so there are no delays when you go to pick it up.

This is what I ordered. So stoked! I can't wait!

Great idea about picking up at the UPS CC - thanks for the tip! I wasn't aware that you could do that at the
CC; I thought you could only do that with UPS authorized drop-off/pick-up spots, and I wasn't too keen on using my local CVS as a pick-up spot! Go straight to the source - I like it!

Anyone order an additional strap straight from Apple? I ordered a midnight Ocean strap and it's supposed to arrive on 9/23, but I'm still at "Processing" on that order. I'm assuming these are most likely coming from somewhere other than China - probably somewhere in the States. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?

Certainly, the orange color Alpine- certainly the flashiest color save the yellow Oceanic- may well look completely disgusting after a few weeks of regular use, unless they Teflon-coated it, or something similar. I see the same issue with starlight. I ordered green primarily for this reason.

But the orange will be good for "special occasions", in my case, for competition use.

Yes, I have an orange medium Alpine band coming separately, currently October 10-17 delivery- placed the order the same day as the Ultra itself, which is on track for this Friday.

Clearly, stand-alone bands are in demand. The Trail loops are at 10 weeks out. And orange medium Alpines are after October 20 if ordered now.

That would most likely depend on the band lug color vs the case color.

For integrated lug bands like Ocean bands, no different than sport loops for example, but probably discordantly bulky.

Meanwhile, the trail and alpine lugs are made to match the titanium Ultra case, and will therefore likely clash with any standard 44-45 case in either aluminum or steel.

My Apple Watch Series 8 GPS, 41mm Silver Aluminum Case finally got shipped and coming tomorrow. Coming from Indiana apparently.

Not sure what I will do with my Series 4, probably replace the battery, buy new bands and hand it down to my parents or little sister. We'll see.
I am trading mine in - apple will still give you $55 if it's in good condition!

I ordered a S8 Aluminum GPS + Cellular. My original delivery window was 9/30 - 10/3, which has since dropped to 9/23-9/30. Anyone else with that delivery window seen any movement? Apple still says "order in progress" and there's nothing in UPS My Choice in tracking by reference... I was really hoping to get my watch this week 😣
