Before I have even decided on which watch I am going to purchase, I started looking for aftermarket accessories. I found a few cases or bumpers, charging stations and a couple of bands.

Anyone planning on a case/bumper or other accessory? I'm sure the market will be soon flooded with more ways to spend our money.

I'm sure Louis Vuitton and alike will have their own bands too.

I am planning of sporting the watch naked.

Maybe a full sized keyboard. Have not worked out how I will type on it with only one hand though. :)

Watch accessories

Any word out on what sort of accessories are going to be available with the watch?
I'm looking at a screen protector and maybe body protectors too.

screen protector? have you never owned a watch... scratching the screen of any designer watch over $150 is almost impossible from everyday usage. you're getting scammed it's not a phone, next someone will be selling cases for the Watch

It is beyond me why anyone would even consider purchasing a screen protector for a watch! And body protectors? Watches get scratches, it makes them more personal.

Well when you reach into a blind spot, like under a mower or similar spot and you scrape your brand new watch against a stone, piece of steel, etc. and it scratches or breaks is that when hindsight kicks in, and you think " I should have ". It is protecting your investment :D

I guess I'm confused. I assume you don't currently have a screen protector on any other watch you own. If you're sticking your hand in somewhere that it might scratch your watch (apple or regular), either take off the watch or use your other hand.

If you're sticking your hand in a situation where your watch may get broken/scratched, do you not also have the same concern for your flesh?

This is not advised with or without a screen protector.

if I ever find myself reaching into a lawn mower I'll use the hand that isn't wearing a $1100 piece of technology.

it's sapphire glass...literally almost nothing can scratch it. do you put a screen protector on your rolex?

Is anybody going to be picking up screen protectors and cases for their watches?

I'm thinking about getting a slim case to avoid it getting dinged up by accident. Kinda worried after seeing that instagram picture.

Huge fan of Spigen and it looks like they have an entire page of stuff for it already. Might grab the screen protector and a thin fit case.

Are you guys going to be rocking it nude or will you put something on it down the line?

after seeing the video of someone trying a drill on the sapphire glass and NOT scratching it I will pass on the protection.

Waiting and seeing on stands. It must do my phone AND watch AND fit where I need it.

no offense...but this is a watch. a device. strapped to your wrist. made out of metal. WHY in the name of god would you put a case on your watch? or even worse, a screen protector? would you place those things on a rolex?

I'm just terribly confused.

Because the glass is curved and these thin cases provide corner protection a slight bezel.

To each his own.

Wear and tear on a watch gives it character. Most watch purists would agree no?

Maybe because it's not really a watch per say. To some it's a few (or more) hundred dollars mobile computer they're wearing as a watch. I'm not saying I'm putting armor on mine, but I wouldn't fault anyone for doing so.

I'm not gonna baby mine, frankly because my job won't allow me to. I consider possibly protecting it further if I see it get knocked around too much.

Accessories

I guess that now the majority of us have a 4 to 6 week wait, we can amuse ourselves with shopping for accessories.
Need to start thinking about alternative charger.s
