I have bashed my screen head on a couple times now without a scratch, but I did purchase AppleCare+ just in case. That way the watch doesn't look ridiculous, but I don't have to worry about breaking it.

Now I would be on board with a plastic type case that quickly covers the watch for swimming or showering that could be removed when finished...... Hmmm

Agreed, that's the only scenario I would cover it. But I don't think the Apple Watch would record calories burned swimming accurately.
