It probably will not be uncomfortable. I have very small wrist and wear a pebble every day.

Yes, for all the time they spend developing it--it looks crappy. They offer nothing really new, it's thick and ugly, and the battery life has got to be horrible. Not much to be excited about. What happened to the flexible super cool display with a flexible battery and all the innovative stuff? What have they been doing with all this development time?

Just watch the videos, the various walkthroughs and read about the features and the ways people can use the product in their every day lives. This is what it's about. It's a good idea but it reminds me of the ipad 1. Wait and see how much we really need it before investing it will probably be a must have soon.

However it looks quite bulky and im pretty sure it will look better in the future with an even larger screen but slimmer and more flexible as mentioned.

Battery life. Suspect they are still testing that. The only hint i got was when he said.. when it's charging overnight... so a day...?

Water resistance - Jony did mention that it was sealed when they showed the induction charging. So my guess is... somewhat.

I fully disagree that it is terrible and hideous. I think it looks great and it is just the beginning. App designers and apple will work together now to create even more ways to incorporate usage. I'm excited to get one.

No worries. I guess they will release an Apple Watch 2 next year (okay, 2016...) which is much thinner with worse battery life...

Honestly, I was really expecting it to be on sensors but it just has a heartbeat sensor which isn't really that special. It'll make a lot of conclusions from just your heartbeat using accelerometer I guess.

Also I think it will change a lot till the release, there are a lot of unmentioned points at this point. Reactions will pave them a clearer way to go and it's still at engineering verification process. Also, congrats on Tim Cook for no leaks ever. That was a serious success.

In all fairness it didn't appeal to me that much as of yet and I don't plan an buying one yet. However thinking back to the first iPhone I can only imagine the way future iWatches will go. This is just the beginning.

No leaks because the Apple Watch isn't even in mass production.

As a fashion item... I really don't think it is that pricey. Women buy Coach purses that cost that much... Or a nice pair of shoes. You probably aren't going to wear the same pricey shoes everyday but you could certainly get a lot of use out of the watch. Do I wish it cost less? Sure... $299 would be great but I won't give up on it for $50.

This is true. You can tell they're saving some low-hanging fruit for further iterations.

I agree with comparisons to the iPad. People, myself included were massively disappointed with the first generation. But the product has come into its own, even if it has seen a bit of a lull since the release of iOS 7.

When apple launched the iPhone, it didn't do much. It turned into the greatest device ever. They launched the iPad, and it wasn't much more than a scaled up iPhone, and it required a computer to set it up. It is now the best tablet on the market. Now they launch the watch. I think Tim Cook said its east to charge "at night", so I think he's implying that it only gets a day's charge?

I don't know how many years its been since I changed the battery in my Seiko. The Apple Watch has some cool features but they seem like novelties - sending a heartbeat? I don't want to charge another gadget, nor do I want to pack another charger the next time I go away for a few days.
