What would be your first motivation to buy the Apple Watch Hermès?

I just got a Hermes Series 3 with folding buckle. Is it easy to remove the folding buckle and attach a new strap ?

It should be with a tool that works with spring loaded pins. I assume the Hermes uses spring loaded pins as most watch bands do. YouTube will show you how to remove the deployant buckle or regular buckle so that you can install on a new strap.

Nice images...considering a Series 4 Hermès...might just get a band though.

Also, they now sell the single tour deployment buckle separately (not sure if this is new or if they have been selling it like this for a while now).

I was notified by Hermès that the Series 4 has a different deployment buckle. Now deployment buckle and band can be separated (and easier exchanged) while with earlier versions the connection between deployment and band was fixed.

Can anybody confirm this ?

I have the Ebene deployment that came with the S4 and don't see how the hardware can be taken off the band without cutting the leather, and thus don't see how it can be installed on a new leather band. I hope I wrong though as I'd like to keep the deployment hardware and just refresh the leather band in the future.

Thank you !
If so the is a design flaw (again). I am used to switch straps on deployment buckles but with Hermès is seems again not possible. Nevertheless, a deployment buckle has the major advantage of giving less damage on your expensive Hermès band :)

My guess is that if the Hermès strap is damaged you can send both deployment buckle and strap to Hermès to have either a new band fitted or the old one fixed. But also this is not confirmed….

You could always buy a knock-off single tour with deployment and cut off the deployment buckle. The buckle itself is probably very similar to the real ones...the knock offs just have fake/****** leather. I have one that I’m going to try doing this with when my non-deployment band arrives.

I'm guessing that's an Apple thing. Forcing you to pay for a whole other watch band..

I can’t even believe even Apple calls it a deployment. The word is deployant. And I can’t believe Hermès, a French company, lets them get away with it.

I guess it’s one of those casualties of pop vernacular and will eventually replace the correct word.

You beat me to it.

If you’re going to get technical, there’s an e on the end too. And an accent on the first e...
