I charge my watch every night on the $30 Elevation Lab Nightstand. It's more compact than the Apple puck charger and significantly cheaper. It also comes in multiple color choices. And it "just works" as well as the Apple charger.

sorry to ay but the Elevation Lab has a terrible design as the AW fells of. I had one but bought a Spigen soon after as it is so much much better designed and a true stand :)

Really I have nothing against the EL but when a AW is heavy it tends to drop. Here is a picture of an improved design :)

To each his own ... must be why Baskin-Robbins has 31 flavors.

My watch has never fallen off the Elevation stand. I use it every night, and am very happy with it ... enjoy your spigen.

So what supports the watch on the elevation stand when you turn off the alarm or hit snooze? It seems overpriced for what it offers.

Spigen works fine for $8 or so on Amazon.

Gonna eat some crow here... after checking, I'm using the Orzly nightstand and NOT the Elevation Lab stand (I have the Elevation Lab iPhone stand)... I had the EL nightstand, but returned it after a day or two.

I got the apple magnetic charging dock a couple of weeks ago while I was buying my new 7 plus and it is pretty cool. The only things that it adds vs the others is the premium feel and the 2mm cord.

I've recently migrated from a Motorola 360 2nd Gen to the Apple Watch Series 2, missed the type of stand you get with the Moto. Have gotten this for pretty cheap (sub-£10) and am pretty impressed:

Here's a video of it in action:

Yeah, this is one of the ones I have. Works on the Series 3 versions aswell.

I own one and I love it. That said, I did not pay for it. I had an awful Apple experience by phone and they sent me accessories. It's a nice piece of hardware that sits on my nightstand. That said, it's just a charger and my watch charges regardless of the apple dock versus just a cable plugged into many of the off-brand chargers.

The Apple dock is great for traveling since it folds flat. It’s easy to put into a backpack pocket.

How heavy is it though? I love the idea of being able to charge my watch with the lightning cables that are already in my bag and around my house, but I’ve read that the dock is weighted, which made me wonder if it were really travel friendly.

Weight is relative but I think it’s pretty light. I just put my dock on my postal scale and it was 5.7 ounces. So it weighs less than an iPhone 7 Plus which is 6.6oz and more than an iPhone 7 at 4.9oz.

That’s very interesting! I can picture that now. Thanks for letting me know.

The weight is perfect in my view. It has some quality heft, but it's very easy to travel with (and I take mine with me whenever I travel). The fact that it folds up flat is great. Opinions differ when it comes to accessories, but I really like mine.
