Logically, people with earlier payment processing have a greater probability of launch day receipt (assuming they aren't two days from a hub). They just do.

I'm not so convinced of this, especially considering that the order numbers aren't sequential. It's possible that the orders were allotted a delivery window by order time, but that batch was then re-ordered on a completely different basis like distance from hub, model ordered, number of items ordered, general location...

Maybe the only benefit of placing an order at immediate moment pre-orders opened is being guaranteed an April delivery slot regardless of model, rather than being guaranteed to also be first of the April deliveries...?

Sounds like it's sport models with sport bands only. Our steels are nowhere to be seen, even though we ordered ours seconds after they were available for order.

This may well be true, but if so, it's really infuriating.

Apple advertised that the Watch was "available on 4/24" and that pre-orders started at 12:01 AM on April 10. If they can't get their **** together enough to actually ship a damn watch by 4/24 to someone who ordered at 12:02 AM on April 10, that's just ridiculous.

Im totally with you buddy. Miserable.

No such luck here earlier today still showing May 13 - 27. But the order status page is down right now both on the Apple Store App and the Web Site. Maybe everybody is checking and the server crash or maybe that could mean good news for the rest of us on the second wave. Yay!

Here's a rumor for you: Under Apple's Cupertino Spaceship campus is a Cyclotron that can create transmute Lead into Gold. The $17,000 Apple Edition watches is made from synthetic Gold. :) Sorry but I meant to post this on April 1st.

Okay guys and gals,

I just talked to a contact at Apple (he's not a customer support person and that's the most I can say. but he did have information that was being distributed for phone support staff)

he said that they have a memo in which they told their phone support employees that "having a change in your order status is not an indication that you will or will not receive your watch before those who are yet to get an order update."

He went on to describe and insist "A change in order status does not indicate an April 24th delivery and the lack of a change to order status does not indicate that you will not be receiving your product at launch. On the contrary, orders are being processed differently this time around and the specifics of logistics in which bands, which models, which delivery companies, are all contributors in the timing of the status changes and will continue to be processed 24 hours a day. Orders processed today may not ship till Friday, while orders processed tonight may not ship till Monday and orders processed tomorrow may very well arrive Friday."

"The process in which the orders are being scanned and attached to the product for shipment are not being based on time of order specifically. The first come first serve only applies to the delivery window, not to the time of day. All 4/24-5/8 orders, regardless of wether they were 1 minute or 4 minutes after the Site and App went live, will be processed for the same shipping windows. The determination of the products arrival will solely be based on inventory, geographic location, and delivery provider."

"The fact that your order hasn't updated is irrelevant. Your shipping window is your shipping window, regardless. Orders began updating today and will continue to update. With most orders already in the process of shipment, it is a matter of being input into the system. Your devices arrival date has been determined regardless of when you receive the notification at 4:00pm or 4:00am, the outcome will be the same."

Wasn't there another "apple exec" who said don't be surprised if things ship sooner?

I find this all to be some BS.

you just miserable for miserables sake then?

Why bother coming here if the info is BS? I have ZERO to gain form BSing anybody i sought out advice and info because I needed it and shared because there are others like me. I don't come here and post, unless its around a launch even then, Im a 9to5Mac guy because forums like this have trolls like you who just want to **** on peoples hopes or enjoyment.

Nevertheless, No one here knows me so I have no fame, attention, or appeal to gain from misleading people who are in the same shoes as I am.

Thanks anyway though, Im not mad at you for calling me a BullSh**er. You seem like a frustrated guy and I know that isn't easy to deal with. I wish you the best buddy.

You have me wrong. I'm not miserable at all. I love this stuff and have been reading all night long. I apologize for the use of BS. I appreciate the info and look forward to all the info. My point was that there was another report where it was said that shipping times will most likely be sooner than listed.

If anyone is frustrated maybe it's the guy who gets feisty when someone says it could be some BS.

I have seen East Coast and West Cost getting status changes. No one in MST or Central time zones yet. Anyone? I am looking for someone in Texas

"So like 1 out of a 100..no more like 1 out of a million" :p
