Apple Watch S4 Gold Bands?

I’ve been wondering this same thing- hoping to go to the Apple store later today and bring a classic buckle with me. I’ll take photos if I do!
The Gold SS is a very subtle color. I feel you can almost get away putting a SS band on it and it wouldn’t jump out at anyone... key word is almost.
For me, I’ll be selling my Milanese loop and buying the gold one when it’s available but I can see how someone might keep it.
But I’d say if it’s just the connectors it probably would look alright.
I am also very interested in when matching shades of gold come out on 3rd party bands.

My thoughts on gold SS:
- matched well with many bands— more than I expected. I actually like the way it looks with my black Milanese loop.
- gold is more of a copper or tarnished gold. It really varies given the angle and lighting.
- guys trippen over if the gold is “meant for girls” need to try it on with different color bands. Definitely not a feminine gold once your swap out the stone sports band it comes with.

I live close to an Apple store so stopped by today to get a few shots of the Gold SS w/classic buckle & woven nylon bands.

Love the gold, the silver connector on gold just looks a little weird to me. Gonna wait and hope there are some 3rd party bands with some gold hardware

I have seen the plated ones and they look hella sharp ― maybe 3rd party guys will be able to match the exact colour of the gold
Gold with a black band is a classic look you see with many high end watches. I have a gold Ebel watch my father gave me, which I paired with a black alligator strap.

I think the black woven nylon is one of the classiest looks yet when paired with the gold... very high end looking! Much more so than it used to look with my regular stainless steel watch.
That black Milanese looks amazing! I didn’t wanna spend $150 on it though so I just ordered it on AliExpress. It claims to be a 1:1 and my experience from there has been good before with those, so hope this works out!

I tried using my black Classic Buckle with the Gold since my 44mm finally arrived today. It doesn't work at all—the mismatched lugs look really bad. My standards are pretty high though (as they should be for a $700 watch, imo) so in the end it's a personal choice. I just picked up a Blue Horizon sport band and I'm still bothered by the silver pin. Really hoping other bandmakers besides Bandwerk release bands with matching lugs and buckles. I don't have anything against Bandwerk, but I want more options. My cheap gold lugs from amazon don't match at all—too yellow.

This is the “hell“ that I experienced with my rose gold aluminum 1G/“S0” since I got it three years ago. There’s no way I could ever live with mismatched pins or lugs and all the ones (lugs) I tried from eBay and elsewhere are less than perfect matches. The only band I ever ended up buying for it is the black sport band with the black pin. At least the pin matches the band.

I just got a 3rd party Black Milanese from Amazon. The seller is Sicciden. I can't speak toy durability yet of course, but the quality seems to be very good. The band is comfortable and looks terrific on the SS Gold watch. I hope the finish holds up well over time.
Y'all seriously stress out over a PIN in a sport band not matching? Oy.

The black sport loop has the entire rainbow of colors inside it.
