Apple Watch Series 9 Colors and Finishes: Which Should You Choose?

I wanted to upgrade from my series 4 but it's still going strong. Hoping the 10 is a redesign.
I have a starlight series 7 and I like the colour and love the matching solo loop band (less stark than the white bands they used to sell) but on the Apple site the starlight series 9 looks a lot darker so I went with silver this time. My question is, has starlight gotten darker or are starlight series 7, 8, and 9 all exactly identical? If so I might return the silver and stick with starlight. I like the idea of a matching band and I’m not sure a starlight band would look as good on the silver.
Answered my own question at an Apple Store today. At first glance under the store lighting Starlight 7 and 9 looked the same but as I moved them around in the light and looked closer it's clear that Starlight 9 IS in fact a LITTLE bit darker. It's only a couple of perceptible shades darker. I supposed they did this with the 8 when the brought back silver in order to better differentiate it from Silver. My Starlight 7 compared side-by-side with Silver is again, only a couple of perceptible shades darker than Silver. So I would say the Starlight 7 is about halfway between Silver and Starlight 9. It's all pretty subtle though. In the end I decided to stick with Silver as Starlight 9 was veering a LITTLE too close to a champaign-y look that I'm not crazy about. And the Starlight strap still looks great with Silver.
I have the pink s9 with the pink velcro band. The first photo (black background) makes it look much darker than it is. The second photo is more accurate. The watch itself is a light pink and the band is a very washed out pink. Close to white.
