The upcoming Apple Watch Series 9 will feature the same design as the Series 8, with 41mm and 45mm case sizes, but a new pink color will be available for the aluminum model, according to info shared today by a previously-accurate leaker known as ShrimpApplePro.

Pink will be a fifth color option for the aluminum Series 9 alongside the existing Midnight, Starlight, Silver, and (PRODUCT)RED finishes, the leaker said. Apple already offers a pink finish for a few other devices, such as the latest iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad, and iMac, and the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are also rumored to be available in pink.

For Apple Watch Series 9 models with a stainless steel case, color options are said to remain Gold, Silver, and Graphite.

The leaker expects Apple Watch Series 9 models to be equipped with a new chip, which Bloomberg's Mark Gurman previously said will be based on the A15 Bionic chip first used in the iPhone 13 models for improved performance.

Apple is expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 9 in September alongside the iPhone 15 lineup and a second-generation Apple Watch Ultra. Series 9 models will ship in a smaller box compared to Series 8 models, the leaker added, as Apple continues to reduce the environmental footprint of its product packaging.

The Apple Watch is dead…

…to me anyway.

I’m tired of that boring black square on my wrist that everyone else seems to have. Since I generally always wear it with my phone nearby or in my pocket, it doesn’t seem to add anything useful to my life. I do use it for working out, but ordered a Oura Ring and that’ll take the place of that. I’m going back to my watch collection. I miss the bling and the variability from day-to-day.

Shame that Apple didn’t pump up the fashion with a range of models that look good on one’s wrist. Bye Apple Watch. I don’t think I’ll miss you…

Over the weekend, Bloomberg reported that Apple tested a black titanium color for the Apple Watch Ultra last year, but scrapped those plans. Bloomberg suggested the black titanium color could resurface this year with the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra, which ShrimpApplePro now echoes. “I can confirm this year we will have the black titanium this year along with the current standard titanium,” they posted on Twitter today.

Looking forward to this option! 🩷⌚️

(But not looking forward to all comments from the narrow-minded who think pink is only for women.)
No just does not turn me on personally (am a guy) I like purple more LOL or I tend to go with the dark grey colors a lot on iphone and watch. Love the titanium color on my AW Ultra. The nice thing is apple is catering to varying fashion tastes (my wife says I have little — daughters agree LOL) people enjoy

While I like certain colors like purple, and have varied from slate/dark grey on iPhone (and have clear cases to show it) I just do variations on darker grey on iPad and Macbook. Now on my newly acquired AW Ultra (this spring) I like the titanium color and I got a matching titannum band. I tend to go metallic on my watches before AW and also with the AW’s I have owned .

I'm trying to sell my Series 8 41m Cellular Midnight for $379 even though I bought it on sale for $385 at Walmart. I feel bad for the people who bought it for $499 and trying to sell it back there taking a big loss.

Good, more colors are good.
But now, make the Nike sport bands also colorful, they’ve been quite boring the last few years.
And while I’m at it, offset the SS in space black again, for everyone, not just Hermes.

And lastly, AWU2 in SB with DLC …

I feel bad for the person who would give you $379 for it, not worth more than $200 tops.

I swap between mechanical and AW (Usually AW for weekdays and mechanical on the weekend.) I'm fine with the design, it just frustrates me that we are still in the 3 "new" (And with any luck, 1 will be functional/usable) watch faces per year cycle. We still have basically one digital watch face design, the same one it has had since day 1 (Yes, there are variations of what size complications, but show me one where you can move the time out of the upper right corner)

I love my Series 7 Ti but.....while it plays so nicely with the ecosystem the battery life is just so far behind. I just picked up the new AMOLED Garmin S70 (primarily for golf) but this thing does all the same duties and lasts forrrrevvverr on a charge. Sleep tracking can finally be a thing and Apple is missing out big time.

Exact opposite of you...My watch allows me to keep my iPhone away from me, so I can focus on being present. The only alerts I have on my watch are for text messages/calls.

If Apple every integrates a camera into the watch, that would be the tops!

Great, I'm all for more options! I hope there's a better gold though whenever I upgrade, I have the series 5 in gold and its more of a copper.
