Nice but it would better in silver
I wish the US power block had been designed with pop-up prongs like that.Recently picked one of these Orzly Nightstands up for my Apple Watch Series 2!
Nightstand? My watch came with a nightstand!
How about this one?
http://www.studioneat.com/products/dock
I have literally not seen this dock mentioned anywhere - it's sold at Best Buy and doesn't even appear on Nomad's site. Seems to fit my needs nicely and is relatively cheap compared to other options with similar offerings. BB currently has it for $80.
The darker part is almost like a dark gray/midnight blue anodized aluminum and the white is all plastic. The lightning cable and watch cable are built in (for $80 that is nice as you don't need to also buy add'l cables). The lightning cable's height is adjustable to accommodate various cases and, obviously, has a backrest to support the heavier ones. I've used the watch portion of the stand in portrait/landscape setups with no issue. Comes with it's own AC adapter that powers the whole things - the cord is probably 5-6 feet long as I had no problem putting it on a nightstand.
Thoughts?
Looks good, great price as it comes with its own lead. For me, I'm not sure if the watch would be too high, would need to check my bed & bedside table.
Any online stores that ship to the UK?

Did it not?! That's disappointing!
Thats disappointing D:Nope. The US 5w plug looks like this... the prongs are fixed. The only plug in the US that has folding prongs is the US "duckhead" adapter for the 10w/12w and Mac power blocks.
I bought this charger/stand thing:
https://www.amazon.com/Oittm-Nightstand-Charging-Station-Samsung/dp/B019SO9EHI
My main thing is that I wanted something I can take for travel without the huge puck cable...and didn't want to spend $80 or whatever for the nicer integrated puck w/lightning cable options. Plus with this thing it acts as a charger for other stuff too, so one less thing to carry (barring bringing more stuff and needing more USB ports).
There's no padding or anything if you're paranoid about that, just sits right on the plastic. Also I have the 42mm, no clue if the 38mm would have issues or not, I'm sure that'd be mentioned in the Amazon reviews if there's an issue (although there are a lot of "I received this for free" reviews so ehhh...). It's all powered by a figure 8 power cord that connects on the back.
The puck holder piece is detachable, so when packing I plan on pulling it out and just trying to lay it flat. Unfortunately you can't just put it back inside since the puck can't pass through the hole there.
If you've treated your cable nicely it should coil up inside easily enough, that's the longer original cable btw. It's not a huge space, but enough that I tossed in my wadded up Milanese loop and could fit in a short (like 8") lightning cable I have.
There's a little blue LED inside near the USB port, and visible here through the front USB port and a bit through the casing (kinda visible on top left). It's not too bad, but my bed stand is lower than my bed which helps. I'll probably try blocking it inside since the shining up through the casing is the main annoyance (and the USB port can be blocked enough by usage). There's also a gray/black version which is probably better in this regard.
And it hasn't burned down my house yet but it's only been one night. I charged my iPad and iPhone off of it too, but I don't know at what rate (probably in the Amazon description). I did see another branded version for about $2 less, and the first review mentioned it burning up so we'll see what happens there.

I might've gotten one if not for being a cheapskate, that and the combo charger I found fits a little better for my use (plan to use it as my sole charger and stand when traveling, vs needing to take my separate multi charger block too). This thread is 57 pages long now and I haven't looked over the whole thing. But am I alone when I say I really like the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock? Some of the options over the last few pages to dock the iPhone, Watch, and iPad are pretty cool though.
...I didn't even see that one, heh. Saw the square one first and hyper focused on it I guess. If nothing else I imagine the silver finish might help block the LED light leakage if it has one (it's in a corner on mine so not sure where it'd be on that one).Did you consider the round version? I think it looks better, and it comes with an additional insert for use as an iPhone stand instead.
At first, I though it's too bad it's Rose Gold, but there is a silver/white version that for some odd reason isn't listed together with the others.
But if the square one ends up getting down to $13 again, perhaps for BF, then I'll bite. I'm in no hurry.
I've read through most of this thread, and none of the stands really wow me. Some are crazy expensive, and still make you use your own charging disc; Belkin is the only one who seems to have participated in the MFAW program.
But if I wanted to splurge, I'd probably get something like this wooden saucer from Etsy, which isn't just an overpriced plank of wood like many of them are, or the Fred Flinstoney roller thing.
I definitely prefer the alarm clock/bowl style over the pedestals.
Great video! I have one of these stands, so your video jumped out at me the moment I saw it! lol.Recently picked one of these Orzly Nightstands up for my Apple Watch Series 2!

Just got the round silver/white version. Cannot figure it out though. THere's a spot on the top disc where the stand for either the phone or the watch would go...but it's plugged up?!? Also disappointed that the stand for the phone has no firm grip on the lightning cable, so this is not a one-handed operation like I'd hoped. Int will likely go back unless I can decipher how to make a hole in the top disc for the stand to seat into.
EDIT: OK, I feel stupid...evidently you have to push up from the underside to open up the hole in the top disc in order to insert the watch or phone stand!
But still not sure I'm keeping it...I DO like the ability to have the charge cables at the top of the nightstand instead of fishing around on the floor, for the iPad and phone and Kindle cables. So I'll give it a few nights and see if I like it.
I doubt if my pics could be better than what's on the amazon listing unless there's something specific you're wanting to see.Can you take some pictures?
Does it have the LED like the square one? After watching some reviews, it seems that LED is meant for the internal plug, and the only reason it's visible from outside is because it's bleeding through the plastic.
