Connect to the charger? No I’ve had two different series 4 Apple watches and they’ve both started charging straight away. I’ve used this charger for my series 0, 3 and now 4.

Thanks, I'll order it now. A few of the reviews stated similar issues as follows: "What I'm finding is that the watch will make the charge 'ding' sound repeatedly meaning the contact for the charge is not consistent. This is likely due to the size of the Series 4 being slightly larger than Series 3 and therefore the seating of the charger face to the watch back isn't quite as aligned as it should be." Thanks again for your input. :)

I notice a lot of reviews for iPhone + Watch chargers complain that Series 4 & 5 aren’t charging on them... I need one for my iPhone and Series 5.

Noticed the same thing last year which is why I gave up on looking for a mat charger

I’ve found it easier to just go with the nice Apple doughnut charger for the watch and charge the phone separately. None of the combined ones have done it for me.

Exactly what I use, though the Apple donut charger is grossly overpriced -- but then again, what isn't from Apple?

Completely agree on everything you said. It’s nice though to know the watch is secure and charging appropriately so it’s justified IMO. The included charger sucks.

I was looking at the spigen but not too sure. I read it was not good with the 44mm? What is everyone using for the 44mm? Budget ones :)

Still rockin the nomad stand I had powdercoated black. I painted the cable with plastidip and painted the puck black and added a little clear epoxy over the puck to make it all black. Charges just fine still 🤓

I have to say, the Spigen mini stand SUCKS. Issues with the watch contacting the charge puck and the sticky pad on the bottom is nearly useless. I wish I bought the Ozrly one again

Spigen has been my go to for phone cases. I agree, the stand leaves much to be desired. I gave up on it and bought the Orzly and have been happy ever since.

I used my Spigen on a trip this past weekend, and it worked great. If you situate the puck fully into the back, there should be no charging issues, and a simple wipe with a damp cloth is all I have needed to rejuvenate the sticky pad. The pad does, however, need a pretty smooth surface to stick well. I’ve had mine nearly three years and use for travel. It’s still going strong.

I just picked one up at Costco made by Ubio Labs. It doesn’t allow the watch charger to stand up, so watch bands that don't open all the way up could be an issue. But so far I like it for $50

This is my new stand/charger for phone, watch and AirPods. Bought for £26 from Aliexpress. (Apologies for the sidewards photo, it was OK before uploading but it rotated afterwards for some reason.) I’ve added stock photo for more clarity.

I bought 2 of these, one for me and one for my wife, and they both work very well. They will charge both watch and iphone at the same time, I have not tried it with all 3 devices charging as I just use a free cord for my airpods. (xs max and watch4)

For many of these 3 in 1 chargers, the actual charging block is not included so you need to make sure you get one that is rated for a high enough power/quick charge and safe for apple devices.

Nice but I've been burned so often on Kickstarter, with Kickstarter taking zero responsibility, that I refuse to support them or their developers.

Same, I got fleeced out of about $200 for a kickstarter project, never again will I support anything from that site, ever. I get the idea behind it but there are far too many "businesses" who have no business being a business.
JUST SAY NO TO KICKSTARTER!

Can’t help but agree as far as Kickstarter is concerned, which is a damn shame.

I still follow things I like and hope they make it to market - where I will buy them. But Kickstarter has been unfulfilling for me in the past, so while it’s not a matter of funds, it is a matter of trust.

I know they’re risky by nature, but come on, products have been developed and released without risk for how many decades is it now?
I think if you’re going to require crowd-funding, fine, but be damn sure it’s going to come to market first.
