Apple, how about you spend some time working on Airpods Max gen 2? Just a thought. It's been almost 4 years.
They wait until a sufficient percentage have had their battery capacity utterly ruined ensuring a high percentage of ”upgraders”.

(I own and like my Airpods Max apart from the weight, but not being able to turn them off makes them spend too much time with a drained battery. And yes, battery capacity is noticeably degraded by now. It’s such an obvious weakness, and so easily rectified. But no.)

I wonder if this will come with noise cancellation like the Solo Pro.

I had the Solo Wireless 3, and currently have the Solo Pro, and even though the Solo Pro are more convenient thanks to the H2 chip, the quick pairing and switch between devices, and the noise cancellation (that’s why I kept them) when I had both I preferred the deeper bass of the Solo Wireless 3. It was more fun to listen to. The Solo Pro have a more balanced sound, and many think this is a positive. As I said, I kept the Solo Pro for other reasons, but they still sound pretty good.
My guess based on the leaked images would be that it’s going to be a Solo3 with an updated connectivity chip and Spatial Audio. Slightly more balanced sound. $150 on sale. No ANC to differentiate from Studio Pro, but I could be wrong.

Agreed, I don't understand why Apple killed Solo Pro for no reason? I mean it was an obvious upgrade from Solo 3.. More comfy, better build and decent ANC. I still have one and I love it as an on-ear. Not too big, but fuller sound compared to earbuds.

Now Apple came up with Solo 4? I hate the new Studio Pro.. no outer redesign, and flimsy plastic shell kills it for me.
Beats Solo Pro looked amazing and took the obvious colorful Apple aluminum design route, which Beats didn’t try again afterwards. However, the fitment was lacking, as I couldn’t get a stable fit, and reliability seemed to have been an issue for owners.

If Beats continued in that design direction it would have direct AirPods Max competitors.

Beats Solo3 is Beats’ masterpiece so far IMO, so they’re taking a much more cautious approach with the same plastic build. Honestly it would be a bit of a shame if they tone down the bass too much, as it’s Beats’ “fun” headphone.
