Ha ha ha. You seriously think critical systems get developed that callously?! In case you didn’t know, all of our satellites, rockets, planes etc are all controlled by computers autonomously.
Sorry not willing to pay $42 million for my next autonomous vehicle. Multi redundant systems that also have failed.

Critical systems get developed every day not just callously but even criminally. All about the $$$ baby, just ask brake and air bag suppliers and those companies that use them.

I have cancelled several apple care policies over the years on iPhones that I ended up selling on. Each time I called Apple they calculated a refund but alsways paid it into my Bank account after requesting the IBAN number.
I too found it odd that my original payment method, usually credit card, wasn’t the refund destination.

Ah yes, computers, what could go wrong. Can’t wait for driverless cars, computer chip/software locks up at 70 mph on a curve.
What could go wrong?
My truck is actually doing something like that when I take a very specific right turn from my street onto the main road. I have to take that turn very carefully. I did just get a recall notice about it. I need to turn my schedule upside down to get it addressed soon. There is much I do miss about the minimally computerized cars of my youth.
