in Retrospect, I should have saved myself a boatload of money, skipped the M4 iPad Pro and went with the M2 iPad Air, or a greatly discounted M2 iPad Pro. But that's just me.
Lol, it's actually an anti-reflection coating, and it's absolutely amazing. It's not a matte or anti-glare coating. Also, the keyboard can be changed. I find the AI summary useful for long videos when I prefer a summary to decide if it's worth watching.I don’t need AI to summarize the shameless video. If you want a crappy anti-glare screen and horrible keyboard, get the Samsung.
Both ARM tablets running mobile OS are useless. Been there, done that and sold both iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S Ultra. Need a minimum of full desktop browser with uBlock Origin and prefer the freedom of x64 multibooting Linux/Windows/Hackintosh so either Lunar Lake or AMD competitor low power Strix Halo family or Strix Point.
That's a curious design. I had an XP-Pen model that was a rebranded version of this with battery-less pen addition. It was a nice matte, similar to the iPad Nano, and similar to most Artist tablets like Wacom, who use heavily matte'd screens. It's advertised as 500 nits, but it wasn't that high, I don't think, and it suffered some large-angle brightness reduction, which some of these have.If you care about display quality, check out TCL NXTPAPER.

But for $229, or $240?. Also, weak cpu. The specs are 8 core. You wonder how it could be weak, but there you have it.
They advertise this for an e-reader, but I find the Kindle type screens are better for the eyes (by far), no matter how matte these get. The Samsung and Apple tablets are much more powerful, and the cost reflects that.
I'm wondering if the TCL company is still in business? Maybe they were bought out by Xp-Pen.
That’s a high bar for something to be considered useful lol. There is ublock origin for firefox on android btwBoth ARM tablets running mobile OS are useless. even the M1 air, it was a great deal when they were clearing those out, and plenty fast enough for iPadOSin Retrospect, I should have saved myself a boatload of money, skipped the M4 iPad Pro and went with the M2 iPad Air, or a greatly discounted M2 iPad Pro. But that's just me.
That's why they offer smaller 12,4" S10+ variant. Or even smaller 11" S9 variant.Nice tablet but way too big for me to use as a tablet
You do know that they also sell Windows tablets?Galaxy tablet would be a lot cooler if it ran Windows.
I own both an 11” Tab S9 and an M4 iPad Pro. The S9 feels nicer in the hand (less sharp edges), and at low brightness in the dark its display has less visible temporal dithering than the M4. Most people probably won’t notice the latter, but for me it made the difference between distracting and non-distracting. For that reason I use the S9 for video at night, which also suits its more narrow aspect ratio, and the M4 for everything else. The M4 is better in bright light.
Odd that MS hasn't announced a Lunar Lake version, considering that Arm Windows is fringe.
Many people believed companies would embrace Arm Windows just like Apple and Arm, which ain't gonna happen, IMO. Considering Lunar Lake is available now, and MS still sells N200 Alder lake, and Meteor Lake, the whole thing seems mixed up with the 'business editions', which they make hard to buy? Really? (0r did).
