Apple Inc.’s foray into allowing consumers to acquire movie rentals, including high-definition titles, from the TV has been postponed a month.
The Cupertino, Calif.-based computer company said in a statement the planned software upgrade for current Apple TV units wasn’t quite finished.
The rental service was seen as a major incentive to reinvigorate interest in the lackluster Apple TV set-top box.
The iTunes movie rentals are $2.99 for library titles and $3.99 for new releases, with high-definition versions priced at $3.99 for library and $4.99 for new releases.....
