Just to clarify here. The last reinstall you did was a clean install or just a reinstall over the current installed system?

Here is what I suggest. Create a second partition on your hard drive. Install OS X on the second partition. Without installing anything anything other then the basic system see if the issue happens with the clean install. Then install your third party apps one at a time on the second partition, in most cases you can drag the third party apps from the first partition to the second partition. Between each installed app see if the issue happens again. If after installing all the apps the issu does not show up, start bringing over your user data a little bit at time and check if the issue happens.

By doing what I am suggesting it could help you find where the issue lies. This also allows you to keep your primary install. After you are done boot back to the primary partition and delete the second partition.

How do I create another partition?

Safe mode skips any startup or launch items, so it is likely one of those causing the problem.

Try running the app EtreCheck. That will create an anonymized report showing all login and startup items. Post that report here so we can take a look and maybe help you figure out what is causing the problem.

Under "User login items" it just says "none"

There are other places where launch items can be in addition to login items. If you can post up the complete report we can take a look at it for you.

Here is the complete report:

All the stuff under launch daemons and launch agents is what I was talking about. When you run in safe mode, none of those items run. So if you have no problems in safe mode and problems in regular mode, that points to something on those two lists.

I see you have a ton of junk on there from Avast. Notice there is an Avast process chewing up 22% CPU cycles just while sitting there. First thing I would do is remove everything from Avast.

I just saw a post this morning where someone noticed Avast sneaking in that Secureliine VPN software along with their AV software.

Try uninstalling all that Avast stuff then restart and run Etrecheck again to make sure you got it all, then see how things work.

(Where to start? )

Update your OS X system. Latest is 10.10.3, soon 10.10.4
Update your Flashplayer software (or better, uninstall)
Uninstall Avast completely.
Is your Red Giant software up-to-date? (What exactly are you using from RedGiant?)
I use a couple of different torrent apps occasionally, but don't leave them installed when not in use.

:) Everybody loves a happy ending!

Looks like the Avast junk is not running, but you have some remnants of it left on there.

Look in your users ~/Library/LaunchAgents folder and also the main /Library/LaunchDaemons and /Library/LaunchAgents folders and ditch those plist files.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE FOR HELPING ME FIX MY COMPUTER!!! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

Let me try to help even more (for the future): if you do not have any other backup method and value your data, than, as soon as possible, get some external drive (they are dirt cheap today) and use it as Time Machine. How many times we read here about people loosing all their data since they do not have any backup? Time Machine is free and generally working fine. So there is not excuse not to use it - or any other of the backup tools available. If you are lucky you will never need it. But...
