had the X for 14 days returned it for an 8plus...could not be happier...Not one problem with it at all.

Most of the issues highlighted in the OP is mostly to do with the iPhone X, the iPhone 8 models disn’t suffer from those initial issues
I wouldn’t trade my 8+ for anything. Currently on 11.2.5 beta and experiencing no issues.
All these issues have been mentioned here on Mac Rumours specifically for 8 plus. The X suffered from many of them too.
Well im on this forum daily on those issues were a lot more common in the iPhone x than the iPhone 8 models. Owned my iPhone 8 plus since day one and haven't experienced a single one of the issues described
There's a big difference between a few complaints and a wide spread issue. The unresponsive screen in the cold was a widespread iPhone x issue, not the 8
Hey would you be kind enough to check the iphone 8 plus model you returned?Which model no. was it for e.g. A 1897, 1863 etc. Want to see if there is a faulty batch on a particular series.
I have had the 8 plus for almost 2 months and have two times encountered what I would consider a minor buggy situation where the screen didn't behave like it should have. Both times it was corrected with a reboot. I haven't done any software update yet.
So I wouldn't call the phone flawless but it is not a huge concern.
PS the model is A1897.

Right, but that doesn't mean that the other millions of iPhones that are sold are necessarily experiencing the same issues based on a small minority on a tech forum. Primarily what you're reading on here, is those who do have similar issues, but that's not the majority, that's a minority. On the contrary, there are many threads on here about those who have never had a problem with Their iPhone 8 even with launch day models.
