I am moving to a samsung galaxy tablet and forwarding my 128gb 6th gen LTE to my son. I am going to sell his 5th gen 32gb LTE version and I am wondering what is an approximate value of this device. It's lived in an fully armoured case since new. there are no scratches, or anything and it's unlocked for any carrier. I also have the box for it as well.

try getting $200 to $250- depending on the battery life.
apple would give you under that amount.

any reason why the switch to Samsung?
gotcha ya, Steve!

Judging by Swappa, I would say $249.

I know you scratched it out, but I will answer anyways. I want deeper MS cross platform connectivity, I like the s pen functions more than the apple pencil which it lacks sorely. Having to charge the pencil to use it and have no extra functionality like the buttons on the surface pen or S pen is down right silly. I expect that from a 20 dollar active stylus not a 100 dollar stylus from apple that provides no other usage other than drawing. Tapping on the pencil is a silly input method as well. I never use it. When I had my galaxy note, I used the button constantly for different things.
The other thing I am just bored with iOS now. After using it since iOS 7 with my ever to short stint with windows mobile, it's really the same OS with no real updates to its overall look. Still just spring board boring now.

So, my son who loves his ipad will get an upgrade which is much needed, and I will get a new galaxy tab. I have an a8 LTE now and love it. So I can safely say that I will really enjoy the Tab 6 lite LTE.

I had a few of them and Loved the hardware and software. 1020 is the best hardware I have ever used for a phone as was windows 10 mobile. The only thing it lacked was apps. Everything else was much better than the other two platforms.
Yeah, that smartphone had a shockingly good camera for the time. Metro design was awesome. I wish it had attracted developers/users and didn't fail.

Yes, It still keeps up with today's phones in pure image quality and the actual Xenon flash instead of silly led flashes of today's phones give it a huge advantage. I also had a 520 and samsung ativ s. All of the windows phones were super fast and stable, but the 1020 blew everything away in the camera department. I had the battery/camera grip for mine as well. It worked awesome. We went on a 1 wk road trip in Nova Scotia and only took the 1020 instead of my SLR kit. The here maps navigation worked better than the garmin we used the previous year up there, and the camera never missed a beat. I have so many awesome images from that camera.

The cohesiveness of the OS across apps/and devices was better than anything today too.
Oh yeah, and the continuity with Windows 8...
Oh, and nobody can forget about Continuum. It worked well with the Microsoft Lumia 950, the HP Elite x3, the Alcatel Idol 4S, etc. That could've been revolutionary. The fact that Apple and Google haven't caught on yet more than half a decade later is hilarious.

I still have a working Lumia 950. I used Windows Phone from the very first release up to Windows Phone 10. There was just no developer support but the integration with Windows and MS services was very good. They were a day late and a dollar short to the smartphone game. Prior to that I was a Windows Mobile user. Remember the Samsung Jack ?

Another issue they had was they were charging dev's more to be in the MS store compared to iOS and Android at the time too. They could have remedied that problem with 0% royalties for one year when you bring your app to the platform. There are other ways as well to bring developers to the platform. But Mr cloud axed it. If they keot with it, the 950 succesor would be just as powerful as the surface pro X.

Developer support had gotten decent at one point, but it began to degrade by the time the writing was finally on the wall.

Don't forget the licensing fees! You know... the ones that didn't apply to Microsoft's beloved Nokia? Samsung, HTC, other manufacturers... they were basically given the middle finger by Microsoft until it was too late.

I have 3 zune "flash" models here now. I loved them. Mine and my sons both had custom artist engravings. They came with a print of the work on the back of the audio player too. Ahhhh how Nadella screwed up MS.
