I created this thread so we can compile a list/screenshots of Apps that are currently or will be released optimized for the launch of the iPhone X. It will be great to see how developers use the new design language!

Anyone want to start?

Here are a few so far

You know what the funny thing about all of your screenshots are? None of them are in landscape mode. I think we all get it, the tab looks not as bad in portrait. What about those apps that use UITableView's in landscape mode? What then?

Pics of more iPhone X in landscape mode please :) (then go back to sharing as many portrait photos to make us drool and want to wait for this phone)

Getting the list started early!
I know there are a few apps that have already been optimized. Please update the list as you find more:

Hi guys,

Around this time developers will submit new apps to the App Store to fit their apps with the all new iPhone X.

So, why not make a topic to collect all these apps and make a list? Check the App Store for updates. If they mention the iPhone X, post it below.

I’ll go ahead first:

- Tweetbot
- ABN AMRO (Dutch bank, Face ID DISABLED)

I hope Chase updates their app quickly. I am too used to Touch ID login.

Actually, the vast majority of apps that use TouchID will automatically use FaceID since the function call is the same, and the phone responds with the biometric method that is built into that phone (FaceID for X, TouchID for 8/7/6s/6/5s). It means that apps that have TouchID will automatically work with FaceID when launched!

This response makes me very happy. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure one of my apps that uses Touch ID updated. It used to say Touch ID in a graphic now it says Touch ID in text. I assume because in the code the word Touch will change to face

Also pretty sure Snapchat is X ready as it was shown in the keynote.

What am I missing, how are those apps optimized for iPhone X? Heck, that Netflix one doesn’t use a large part of the screen, making it looks like the phone has a bezel, actively not taking advantage of the new edge to edge screen.

Netflix, where? You mean Youtube?

There’s nothing much you can do if you want to show 16:9 content (read: all ”TV” content, most of internet video content) on an ~18:9 screen. You’re going to have margins. Or clip the tops and bottoms of the video out (not good).

You’re right, YouTube. But my point was, isn’t this thread about apps optimized for iPhone X? How is that optimized for iPhone X? What is it doing that wouldn’t be as good on previous phones? I don’t see how any of the screenshots shown so far have done anything with iPhone X in mind.

My new App Planny was build for iPhone X in mind, so there's not so much of a difference. Landscape isn't supported, because it doesn't make much sense on small screens (most people use them vertically).
