Dev iOS 9.3 beta 1.1 - apps and updates and TestFlight apps seem to be installing fine on iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 so far I'll post here if that changes

Update: Nope apps still don't install correctly

FYI, I've been experiencing these sorts of problems consistently on my iPhone 6 Plus & iPad Air 2 for several months -- i.e., probably correlated with my transition to iOS 9. I've reported the problem to Apple via iTunes email support (1/16/2016), phone support (1/16/2016), and Bug Reporter (just now). The phone support specialist (front-line call handler, not a member of any engineering team) confirmed that he has personally experienced this problem and continues to, and believes it's associated with iOS 9. He indicated that he had contacted an applicable engineering team based on his own experience with problem, and would do so again based on my report. I plan to report back here and probably in at least one other relevant Internet forum discussion when/if I receive any other response(s) from Apple.

Checking in to confirm that this problem has plagued me as well since the 9.0 beta days. I've found that the best way to get rid of a stuck app is to note which app, delete from usage in settings general, and redownload. It seems like it's 50/50 whether the redownloaded app has the old data or not. I have logged a bug report as well and even made updates to it to try to push it along. It has never been responded to. This honestly isn't like the Apple I used to know and I don't like the change.

I got some update of my bug report from Apple the other day. Apparently they are aware of the issue and my report has been duplicated to another one. I can't seem to check that report but it shows it is still open.

Another one with the same problem here. I just sent this message to Apple today, because I'm really tired about Apple software these last years:

iOS is just a shadow of what it used to be. OS X is a shadow of what it used to be. Please, stop this forced yearly upgrade nightmare and nonsense and MAKE IT WORK. Stop worrying about the stock prices and worry about the hardware and software.

I'm tired about maintenance. You forget that, each time you come with a new release, we get a lot of troubles, incompatibilities, printer issues, and so on. Make it stable, make it powerful.

As today, IT JUST DON'T WORK

I know it's not useful, it's just my rant, but I wanted to share with you to know if any of you share this feeling too.

It's ridiculous that this isn't fixed. I run into this problem on a daily basis.
Thankfully, I don't have any apps stuck at the moment, but that will probably change when I update an app.

Same here - almost every time there's a group of apps to update - at least one of them gets stuck. Numerous stops/starts and device reboots until it's finally installed.

FYI, yesterday, Apple Bug Reporter support responded to the 1/21 bug report I reference in my 1/21 post to this discussion. They have closed my report in deference to what they called "...the original bug report your issue was duplicated to..." My Report ID had numerical precedence relative to "...the original bug report...", and I believe I had (and have) no way to access that other report. At any rate, I also hope Apple finally makes some progress towards resolving this issue.

Same here.

Yeah, it's getting a bit boring now. I'm on 9.3 beta 3, it's no better. Getting the issue about 30% of the time.

I've just uninstalled and reinstalled.

I'm on the 9.3 beta and now create an issue in the Feedaback app every single time this happens. It only takes a minute. I'd encourage others to do the same. It could raise awareness of the bug and give Apple valuable log info to squash it.

I've added each app that won't install to my original bug report. I haven't heard anything back on this issue in ages.

I have this issue on my iPad Air 2. It absolutely sucks. I'm a first time apple user and I am extremely disappointed with the quality of Apple software after years of hype on how "solid" their software and services are. As of now, the only thing that I am impressed coming from Apple is the hardware.

It appears thus far that iOS 9.3 beta 4 finally fix the app installation issues. I installed about 40 random apps previously purchased and not and they installed fine on iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 I will post here if it changes

Did it get rid of the previous failed installs from the cellular usage screen?

God, I hope so. Waiting for the public beta to see for myself.

Yes it's is very much fixed 100% I've been downloading apps all day

Yes it's a miracle it took way too long for them to fix hopefully it stays this way

It may have, I don't see any previous apps listed that aren't installed in my cell usage history

5S, absolutely no idea what's going on here. Problem started earlier this year. Don't recall having any of this nonsense in 2015.

Insanely annoying. Have to do a restart every time an app gets 'stuck'.

It has been fixed in iOS 9.3 beta 4 and 5
