Can't download Protube again sense it was deleted from iOS 11 on my iPhone :(

Still got it on my iPad Pro 10.5 inch though xD

That's....Weird but ios 11 is buggy, have you tried hard resetting your phone to see if that helps?

I dont think iOS 11 has anything to do with it. I thought it was removed from the store in general.

What kind of bugs?

Pack with the change of iTunes 12.7, I sense a dangerous trend on Apple side.

The trend of ultimate total control of every single device. Soon people will be forced to keep the device online 24*7 and device will stop working as soon as it is offline.

Is Protube 64bit?
Yes it is. I still have it installed and I can run it. I think it was removed entirely from the App Store, even in Purchased section, hence we cannot download it anymore. I still have it installed because I just made update, and not reinstalled from backup or something which requires redownloading all apps.

Are you serious? Wow, Apple and google is really bitter about someone coming up with a better app than themselves. Someone recommended I download Pro tube, I'm glad I didn't knowing it's not useable anymore...

This is exactly why I always downloaded the .ipa in iTunes for all my apps. iTunes 12.7 has now taken that away from me. If you have an app that is removed from the store. You are screwed. No matter how much you pay for it.

Well there’s always 3rd party apps like imazing. Of course there’s a price (single user $45).

Yet, there’s a bigger issue at play here. Apple’s decision to remove IOS app downloads, purchases & sync from iTunes without a viable desktop alternative is not thought out and just plain stupid. Under the new design, multiple devices now require multiple downloads for updated apps, which really sucks for anyone with capped WiFi and/or cellular data. Also, the time required to restore a device just became a whole lot longer, and again, more expensive.

I won’t upgrade to high sierra and 12.7 until a workable solution occurs within the Apple OS/IOS realm.

Thanks for the heads-up. This has happened to me before with a couple of older apps when Apple switched to app thinning. Time Machine backup of my local iTunes library was the ONLY way to recover. This move plus 64-bit only has really dampened my enthusiasm for iOS 11.

pretty sure this is true for apps / movies / music / books / etc. If apple has a conflict with a supplier and it is removed - you will lose your purchase.

This is bothersome, and a change from previous behavior.

For example, Flappy Bird was removed from the App Store, but was still available in the Purchased tab. (It's not anymore because it was a 32-bit app, but that's a different issue)

This is the first I hear of an app getting removed from both the store AND purchased. It should be illegal, as you paid for the app and Apple is essentially taking it away from you.

ProTube has been removed from the App Store. Apple removed it a couple weeks ago as a request from google. That’s why you can no longer download it.

So if the developer pulls it. You can download again from purchased tab. If Apple pulls it, then it’s gone forever.

It definitely should be illegal. I’m seriously contemplating talking to my law schools profs about it to see if it breaks anything noteworthy. They are essentially stealing what I paid for.

According to what I've read if the app is still in your Mobile Apps folder under iTunes Music, you can drag and drop it on your device in iTunes 12.7 and it will reload. You just can't sync it back like we were able to in iTunes 12.6.

But thats the problem going forward. You no longer can download a copy of the .ipa to your computer. So going forward, you will never have the chance to even do that.

You tried Cydia Impactor? That app signs .ipa

How does that help me get the .ipa from a download that had been removed from the app store?
Well never mind, because I just tried using a cracked .ipa (you can't install App Store apps) and it says ProTube is pirated buy it on the App Store (which you can't anymore)

This has existed before, if there is a reason (ex: a legal or security one) they can completely remove the app from the store entirely.

I do wonder if it has to do with the new store though.

Read the Terms & Conditions first. My guess is they say an app "purchase" is actually a license, and Apple or the developer has the right to discontinue (remove) any app at any time.
